Vexen was running an experiment straight from his dreams, and the rest of the Castle was watching with interest. When Roxas became a member of Organization XIII, the Castle was turned upside down, and Axel gained a pale imitation of emotion. Then, Xion became member 14 of the Organization, shaking it up again and making Axel the one member of the Organization with emotions. Now Jason was here, and Larxene and Zexion were both regaining their emotions, leading to Vexen's theory: Nobodies or people with strong hearts in contact with other Nobodies infect the heartless Nobodies with emotions. Axel was a prime example of this, as was Larxene. She smiled and laughed more often, more naturally, and was almost approachable sometimes. Unfortunately, bad emotions were also boosted, which meant that her natural sadism was increased with everything else, leaving some Organization members unsure whether to thank Jason or smother his face with a pillow until he stopped twitching. Only Zexion was truly on his side, and aware of the dangers that haunted him…
Day 63: going under. Jason's dreams: The dream was in black in white, and all fuzzy, like T.V. Static. Nevertheless, Jason saw a teenage girl fighting a huge swarm of Heartless. She fought bravely, but was soon drowning in the swarm. As she went under, Jason was filled with a nameless terror, and a crystal heart came out where the girl had sunk.
Day 65: Shadows within shadows. The grey area: Jason walked in the room. Zexion had requested Jason for a mission he was going on, and Jason was more than glad to accept. Larxene had woken up that morning in a really foul mood, and on a day like this not even Jason or Axel dared approach her. Jason looked at Axel now, sitting in a sofa. Truth be told, Jason liked Axel. Axel's friendship with Roxas and Xion was legendary, and he seemed to have more emotion than all the other members put together. «I wonder if I could introduce him to a friend of mine» Jason thought. Jason's friend from Twilight Town was named Jade, and she seemed perfect to him. "Jason, let's go." Zexion walked through the Dark Corridor and Jason followed, hearing Demyx strum away at his sitar.
Halloween town: Jason's jaw dropped as he observed his surroundings. Zexion shelved his amusement and said, "observe later. We have a mission." Jason snapped into focus. "what's our mission?" Zexion wracked his head. "Eliminate Snowy Crystals. Tougher missions are left to Roxas," he added when he saw Jason open his mouth to complain. "Snowy Crystal? Shouldn't be too hard." Jason said once he recovered. After a couple of minutes of wandering the spooky world, a Snowy Crystal appeared by a Guillotine. Jason gulped when he saw the huge ice cube. Zexion couldn't blame him. A couple of weeks ago, Larxene decided to teach him magic, and Jason, as a human, could only hold a few spells at a time. On the flipside, the spells were decently powerful, and for some reason Jason's most powerful spells were lighting-based. Flames shot out of Zexion's Lexicon and straight into the Snowy Crystal, which exploded. "One down. Nine to go. Get your head in the game, Jason." Five Snowy Crystals appeared in one direction, and the other four in another. Jason and Zexion nodded at each other and split up.
Jason admired the scenery as he chased his targets, and passed familiar looking scarecrow. He skidded to a stop as he almost crashed into a mysterious figure in an Organization coat. Jason blinked. The figure smiled under the cloak then disappeared. Jason was shocked, but got his head in the game, like Zexion told him too. Jason saw the Snowy Crystals he was after and took out his knives, and flames danced at the tips as he attacked.
Zexion had the feeling he was being watched. Killing the Snowy Crystals had been easy, but now he couldn't find Jason. He passed by a Roxas scarecrow when a figure in an Organization coat appeared in front of him. Zexion waited to see what it would do. The figure took off the coat's hood, and Zexion stared at the face under it. "Your existence is a violation to everything I believe in." The figure shrugged. "I've been called worse. Keep your eye on Axel for me, for my sake." Then, it disappeared. Zexion shook his head, and spotted Jason in the distance.
Axel now knew Jason's fighting style, having spied on him all day long. He didn't even noticed that he was being watched as well. «Jason can't really fight.» he thought. «I know what to do now»
«if I don't stop Axel, Jason will die. I can't allow that. I won't»
As they walked back to the Dark Corridor, Zexion decided to ask two important questions, and a useless one. "Jason, how is your relationship with Larxene?" "Nonexistent," Jason quipped, then, "as good as it can be, considering she's a Nobody." Zexion next asked, "How do you feel about Axel?" "I like him. He seems so alive, while you seem lobotomized. No offense, I still like you" he added. Zexion absorbed this, then: "why does Roxas like Sea-Salt ice cream so much?" Jason laughed, then responded, "It's tasty. You should try it some time. Though I prefer lemon-lime pops." The two friends walk through the Dark Corridor.
The Grey Area: Zexion and Jason stepped through the Dark Corridor, and the first thing they noticed was a bloody, unconscious heap on the floor, and Larxene sitting on a sofa. "Is that Demyx?" Jason asked. Larxene shrugged unapologeticly and said, "He wouldn't stop strumming his stupid sitar, so I took it—" "And beat the stuffing out of him," Jason completed. Larxene shrugged again, clearly not sorry. Jason suddenly grabbed Zexion and dragged him away.
Halls of the Castle: "Zexion, what's the point of this Organization?" Jason looked embarrassed not to have thought of this earlier. Zexion took Jason and led him away.
Roof of the Castle: Zexion pointed to Jason the heart-shaped moon that hung in the sky. "That's Kingdom Hearts. This Organization collects hearts until we complete it. And once Kingdom Hearts is complete, we all get hearts of our own." Jason sat down and stared at in wonder. Zexion took a seat next to him, and after a while, Larxene sat on Jason's other side. Next came Xigbar, then Marluxia, then Xadlin, and it kept going until every member of Organization XIII was staring at Kingdom Hearts.
