Gale’s P.O.V
I sighed as I knocked on the door of Katniss. I moved back to district twelve, and today I’m visiting hers and Peeta’s house. It still hurts to know that she doesn’t love me and loves Peeta instead. Katniss opened the door.
“Hi Gale!” She said, smiling brightly. I smiled back, before opening my arms. She leaped into them so eagerly, that she knocked me out. We were outside, rolling on the ground, laughing, before we stood up.
“I missed you Gale.” She told me sincerely, and I nodded.
“I missed you too Catnip. I missed you too.” I replied.
We went inside.
“So… where’s Peeta?” I asked, trying to start a conversation.
“He’s at the bakery.” Was her reply. She turned on the radio (what? It’s in the future! They must have a radio) and a song came on. Without thinking, I started to sing with it.
“ You're on the phone with your baker, He's upset
He's going on about some cake that he burnt
And he'll never hunt the way that I do
I'm in the woods; it's a typical Sunday night
I'm hunting the kind of squirrels he doesn't like
And he'll never hunt a rabbit like I do.”
Here Katniss and I had an argument, still singing.
“Because he bakes cakes
I make snares
He makes cupcakes
I hunt bears”
And again, I was singing aone.
