According to me I think that Kai do love Hilary and she too I can prove my point by several reason :-
1) When they met in the 6th episode of V-force Hilary said to Tyson to introduce her to Kai.
2) When for the first time they meet Kai was quite which he does never means he want to know about her.
3) When Hilary saw the photo of Kai she say him cute.
4) When every one was against Hilary and Tyson tore the page Kai was only one who supported her and accept in his team.
5) In the episode 15th of V-force whe nobody was showing her their big-beast she begged every one but touched Kai only.
