Congratulations to everyone involved in the making of Rango! This fantastic film – starring the one and only Johnny Depp – took home an Oscar last night for Best Animation Feature Film.

Kids Wish Network absolutely LOVES Johnny Depp! Back in 2006, he kindly agreed to help us grant the wish of a very talented and vibrant young teen from Michigan.

Diane has been a fan of Johnny Depp for almost as long as she can remember.

“I’ve been obsessed with him!” she said, recalling when she got the first season of 21 Jump Street on DVD. Since then, she’s grown even more enamored with the actor over the years, never missing any of his films.

“He’s awesome in all of his movies. He’s so good at what he does!”

An aspiring singer and actress herself, Diane has been inspired by Depp and hopes to

one day be on the big screen herself. “You have to find what you love most and keep trying for it.”

This courageous girl has inspired many people herself in her young life. Diane lives with a very serious condition known as Takayasu’s Arteritis, or TAK. TAK is an extremely rare and inflammatory disease of the aorta and its branches that reach the different organs in the body.

Diane began experiencing symptoms of the disease when she was just six, but doctors were unable to properly diagnose her until she was eight. Scar tissue has now caused blockage to her organs. Diane has been hospitalized three times for congestive heart failure and she has also had a double coronary bypass due to blockage in her abdomen. Doctors must watch her carefully as TAK can often cause strokes and/or heart attacks.

Diane’s mother, Valerie, learned about Kids Wish Network after being contacted by one of its professional fundraising companies. Diane didn’t hesitate for a minute when asked what her number one wish would be: she wanted to meet the Pirates of the Caribbean super star, Johnny Depp, in person! Soon… she was on her way to walk the red carpet at the premiere of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie AND a meet and greet with Johnny Depp, himself!

On the day of the meet and greet, Diane spent the morning getting the star treatment at a spa near her hotel. After a relaxing manicure and pedicure, Diane was starting to get nervous but she was definitely ready to go! It would be a full day with more pampering to come by a professional makeup and hair artist and her trip down the red carpet. But the focus of the day was, without a doubt, meeting the A-List actor!

“He was so nice!” gushed Diane after the meeting. “He was so kind and caring. He’s a great guy!”

After enjoying a private spin on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Universal Studios with Depp, her family, and some wish kids from other foundations, Diane enjoyed some time chatting with him about everything from her illness, to her interest in music and acting.

Just came back from the earliest showing I could get of "The Lone Ranger"! In a few words... IT. WAS. BREATHTAKING. I reserved special seats, called D-Box seats (not sure if they have them in your area), but they are basically seats that move with the motion in the movie. For example, if the shot showed men on horses, your seat would bounce up and down (not too severely though). The seats were expensive, yes ($18.25 US a ticket), but they were definitely worth it. I could feel my heart pounding in several train sequences. So, if you can, I would recommend getting D-Box seats.

As per usual,...

Johnny Depp is embracing his "Lone Ranger" character's culture. The actor was made an honorary member of the Comanche tribe in a ceremony on May 16.
Comanche Nation tribal member LaDonna Harris told the Associated Press on May 22 that the tribal chairman presented Depp with a proclamation at her Albuquerque home. According to Harris, the Comanche adoption tradition means she now considers Depp her son.

The 48-year-old actor is currently in New Mexico, shooting the film in which he plays sidekick Tonto in the adaptation of the television series "Lone Ranger." Armie Hammer plays the titular "Ranger"...

Dear Johnny...
I think I speak on behalf of all Deppheads when I say that a few days we feel very sad
to hear bad news about you and Vanessa. We have learned to know and to love you for who you are.
The greatest actor of the last times, but especially a humble, kind and helpful person. So a man who remained himself.
We love you with your faults and your quality. We know that you're not perfect, nobody is perfect! But this makes you a normal man.
We are all worried about your story with Vanessa, yes, because she is part of us. You're a perfect couple but like any couple, you also have your problems....

Here are some of the greatest things he's ever done (off-screen). Some of these Johnny Depp stories are hard to believe ,yet they are all amazing and sound exactly like the kind of awesome thing the most eccentric celebrity (that we actually like) would do. From surprising a little girl at her school, to stopping a mugging with a single look, to saving a horse he rode in a movie, here are the greatest (true) Johnny Depp stories.

Johnny Depp does not want to recite Sweeney Todd on Broadway, because he hasn't particularly enjoyed her experience as a singer. The star of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street , Johnny Depp , will disappoint his fans, who hoped to see him back on Broadway, insisting that he will do when it will be cold in hell. The actor made his first experience as a singer on the big screen in the film adaptation of the musical by Steven Sondheim, about a barber murderess. But he found this experience quite traumatic, and does not plan to try again very soon. He said: "When it will be cold in hell. I'm flattered, but, no, I think that singing is not for me. "

Johnny Depp’s missus has nixed his shower scene with that home-wrecking hussy, Angelina Jolie.

Vanessa Paradis, 37, feels threatened by the man-stealing tart, reports England’s The Daily Mail.

“That skank,” mutters Louise Nesbitt, baby blues flashing.

Jeez, Louise, that’s no way to talk about Angelina.

“No, I mean Vanessa.

“I like to clip out unflattering photos of her from the tabloids. She’s that, yuck, waif-y Kate Moss type.”...
