Hmm... I'm all for a remake, but I wouldn't want it to be in animated form. Even though there were a lot of flaws in the film versions, I really don't think a reboot would be any better because there would still be time restrictions and all that to deal with.
Honestly, what I'd really love to see is a live action tv series. If they did it right, I think it could be really great and there would be plenty of time to cover everyone's favorite scenes from the books. But I'd only want it done if it was made by people who love the books as much as the fans do and were committed to being as true as possible to the story.

Agreed about a TV show. Maybe in 20 or 30 years...
I wouldn't mind if they did a HP-remake....but comic? I'm not sure about that...no but they could try with a director who seems to have read the books!!
Don't get that wrong, I like the movies....but they tell a slightly different story, always leaving out my favourite moments and dialogues.
The first two movies were quite close to the book and I really liked them, the third one was great with all the Helloween-atmosphere with crows and pumpkins and lot's of darkness
but the others?
from the fourth movie on they were just action-movies and there were just a few scenes in each movie that I liked.

Completelly agreed! Even though the movies have it's own charm, but they left off a lot of moments from the books that I personally loved and that IMO where very important. So I think making cartoon version is a good idea.
Yep. You are. The films are fine. Star Wars tried to do that and it didnt go well. I mean sure little boys like " The Clone wars but" its all fluff. Besides WB and JO own Harry Potter and any kind of spin off would have to go through them and I think they are very satisfied with the movies. Jo said she is proud of them and the cast. NO BOOK-MOVIE adaptation in the history of cinema has had everything in it. People need to except that. For more information. Go under my profile and read an article I wrote called " her books to movies". Remakes are not very popular anyway, most people see them as a retread of something they like, or hollywood trying to make a fast buck. I go on other movie blogs and when a remake of some little movie from the 80's or something is announced even we get upset because we think they should come up with their own creative ideas. Besides there are pictures on the internet of Harry Potter in cartoon form.
i always had the feeling that a tv series might serve the series better than the films which have time limit.then again if chosen the right director HP-films could have reached higher levels...someone like Tim Burton would have done the trick
