Over the years, there have been plenty of Spider-Man films. Because of that, there have been several villains that have posed a serious challenge to Spidey. This list is to highlight all of the live-action villains that have opposed the iconic web swinger.

Willem Dafoe became the first actor to play a classic Spider-Man in 2002's Spider-Man. He played the Green Goblin in that film. He had cameo appearances in 2004's Spider-Man 2 and 2007's Spider-Man 3. In 2021, he returned to the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Frank Gorshin became the first actor to ever play a Batman villain in a TV show. He's also the first actor to ever play the Riddler. His version of the Riddler helped the Riddler become one of Batman's most popular villains.

The Joker was created by the previously two mentioned gentlemen with help by Jerry Robinson and was inspired by actor Conrad Veidt. The Joker's origin was written by Alan Moore. Batman is one of the most popular superheroes of all time. Because of this, he's had more appearances on the big screen than most superheroes.

Batman's first theatrical appearance was 1943's movie serial, starring Lewis Wilson as Batman and Douglas Croft as Robin. Although the serial is mostly forgotten, it was responsible for the creation of Alfred, played by William Austin, and the Batcave.

The second Batman movie serial was 1949's Batman and Robin, starring Robert Lowery as Batman and Johnny Duncan as Robin.
