Jane Eyre Question

Have you seen the 2011 adaptation?

The movie's just come out here and I saw it last night. I liked it, I think both the main actors did a really good job, but I still like the 2006 version more. It had more detail and I feel like the characters were portrayed better. BUT I think Michael Fassbender is amazing (he loves his sexy brooding, and I love watching it) and Mia Wasikowski really showed her talent. It was a good adaptation, but maybe not my favourite. What did everyone else think?

Hey i agree i thought it was really good, but a mini series works better because it allows more detail and limits the amount missed out. Michael Fassbender was amazing haha a very good Mr Rochester and Mia was very good too :) I found this little vid on youtube too that i thought was really cute; link

I saw the film before I even read the book, and it was so beautiful it inspired me to read Jane Eyre, which is now one of my favorite books. So, the film has a special place in my heart. After reading the book and watching the 2006 miniseries, I do agree with almost everyone else. The miniseries was able to do the book justice better. However, I still enjoy the 2011 movie more and could watch it over and over. The soundtrack and cinematography are beautiful.
