Chapter 12
Beth's eyes opened to a sudden rap on the door. She sat up disoriented. Sunlight streamed through her bedroom window, indicating that it was late morning. Beth's skin was clamming with sweat, her sheets tangled around her legs. On her nightstand close by an empty bottle lay tipped on it's side.
The memory stormed back.
She barely made it back to the hide out to tired and tromitized about what had happened last night the nightmare shadows attacking, the little kids not beliving in her, besides Nora the littel girl that had stood up for her. Mabe today Beth should visit, her and thank her for what she had done.
Beth gave herself up to sleep, dreams were the only place she could reach that had made sence memories of why the man on the moon had chosen her to be a guardian. But she knew what she had done, that tragic day it was the right thing to do. It was the only thing she could of done Jack is her best friend he ment, the world to her can't live without him. It was better than living without him. That memory summoned her haunting her like it had always had.
Again a nother knock, Beth finally opens the door Toothfariy and Bunny Bund gasped. Beth whipped her nose with her sleave.
"What!?" She moaned.
Toothfairy and Bunny Bund had invited themselfs into the hide out.
"Rufe night mate?" Bunny Bund hopped in.
Beth had grabed a random cloth from some place and blew her nose in it, then tosed it aside. A hand was raised in the air.
"Tell him Tooth I don't want to talk about it I have to much to worry about." She sniffled and flew herself to the floor.
Bunny Bund turned to Toothfairy.
"That bad huh???" He cocked his head to one side and shrugged his shoulders.
Toothfairy sighed motioned him to come close and so he did and then she whisspered the episode in his ear. Bunny Bund pressed his lips together then nodded. He faced Beth that brought him to his kneez.
"I know what your going to say... don't let it bring you down, your a guardian things like that happens, your strong....." Beth gussed.
Bunny Bund looked over his boomerang.
"Not what I was going to say at all mate."
Beth peaked at him.
"Why not?"
Bunny Bund scrached his ear.
"Look truely I am sorry no one belives in you kid it's a horribel thing to live through I know for all these years Iam really sorry kid-o."
Beth floated off the floor. She rought out her curly hair that fled back to place.
"It is what it is can't change what it's already." She commited. Beth walked over to a night stand tapped it and watched frost form on it.
Out of not were a nightmare had swoped down from the main sky light then picked off Toothfairy. She screams throwing her tooth dust at it. The nightmare drops her but another nightmare came for her.
"Tooth!" Beth screamed.
Bunny Bund chucks his boomerang nocking Toothfairy away from the nightmare. Beth turns the other way taking out three other nightmares with her ice claw.
"Bunny look out!"
Just in time Bunny Bund ducks as Beth throws the tips of her ice claw at multipel nightmares. From all diffrient derctions nightmares jumped at the guardians. Tooth, Bunny Bund and Beth all took their stances ready to charge at the nightmares. When suddenly ice shoot out of the sky slamming into the nightmares.
"Jack!" Toothfairy cheered.
He lands with a thud striking other nightmares with his staff and shooting out frost and ice. Beth jumps off Jack's shoulder's swinging water whips more frost and more moves that c
ame from her body. On the other side of the room Toothfariy and Bunny Bund were sharing their turns with the nightmares.
There was going to be añother sudden attack but strangly the nightmares stopped as if something told them to do so, in a split second they were gone. Breathing hard Toothfairy screamed.
Cowards can't finished what you have started the hell was that about!?"
Jack grunted.
"Gies something isn't right here."
Toothfairy rolled her eyes.
"Kinda figered." She said.
Jack braked at her.
"Will you shut up and listen! I am not fucking around something's up something is going wrong, I think North is involved." He finished.
Bunny Bund took a stand.
"What do you mean? Don't think North would have anything to do with this mate."
"Then explaine to me why he's been acting weird all of a sudden ever sence that vision he's not right! And why all of a sudden nightmares are attacking us huh!?"
"This has to be something eles." Bunny Bund asured him.
"I think not" jack re said his oppion.
"Bunny Bund just listen to him he know's what he is saying damn!" Beth yelled.
She walked up beside Jack to back him up.
"Think about it North there's something wrong with him, I mean he was fine until he had that vision, now look suddenly nightmares are attacking us,...... and you don't think that's a littel fucked up!?"
Bunny Bund crossed his arms over his chest lokking away.
"If something was wrong North would of said something by now he would neaver leave us hanging like this mate."
Toothfairy adds.
"what do you think Bunny? huh? cause I don't know what to think of this, all I am thinking of is keeping the childern safe."
