What was Jace going to ask Clary under the influence of the Fearless rune?

In City of Ashes (chapter East Of Eden), Jace says that he has something he wants to ask Clary, something he's been too afraid to ask her before. But instead of asking, he kisses her and then they see the ship and the pterodactyl demons about to attack. What do you think the question would have been?
