However, in the final appeal that J.Y. Park's side filed to fight the previous court decisions, the Supreme Court has sided with the producer.

On March 24, IU‘s agency, EDAM Entertainment updated their official Twitter account with an announcement regarding legal action against malicious comments.

They announced that the perpetrators would be receiving punishment for their acts without any leniency. “Based off the complaint filed in October 2019, the perpetrators violated Article 311 of the Criminal Act and received the punishment for less than one year of prison or a fine not exceeding 200 million won.
