SBS‘s upcoming fantasy-romance drama has been renamed from “Moon Lovers” to “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo.” Lee Joon Gi and IU have previously confirmed to star in the drama, and now SBS has released the first still photos from the set. The stills revealed that the filming is taking place over the snow-covered fields of the Gangwon province.
Within the drama, Lee Joon Gi plays Prince Wang So, who is the fourth son of Taejo Wang Geon of the Goryeo Dynasty. In the stills, he can be seen with long hair and wearing a toned-down gray garment that radiates a rough masculine beauty. Lee Joon Gi is sitting on a rock looking into the distance by himself which also gave off a feeling of loneliness. IU plays a 21st century woman who fall back in time to the Goryeo period. She can be seen smiling in a beautiful ivory and sky-blue dress.
A representative from “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” relayed, “Lee Joon Gi, IU, other actors and actresses in addition to the staff members all have fantastic teamwork and are well into the filming process. Despite the cold weather, everyone is determined and united in making a great production.”
Along with Lee Joon Gi, Kang Ha Neul, Hong Jong Hyun, EXO‘s Baekhyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, Ji Soo, Kim San Ho, and Yoon Sun Woo are the other men who make up the “flower prince” cast. Kang Han Na and Girls’ Generation Seohyun are the princesses within the drama.
“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” will be 100% pre-produced and is currently in discussion to air during the latter half of this year.

Heo Ji Woong wrote on his Twitter on November 5, "It is wrong of a publication company to propose an extremely strict guideline in the interpretation of literature. Interpretation of all literature can be rediscovered moment to moment through one's own will and capability. Zeze would not agree with the publication company."
What are your thoughts? The debate is heating up...

During her commemorative talk event 'CHAT-SHOW' on October 23 for her new mini-album, IU stated regarding one of her new songs, "Red Queen," "There's a drawing that became the motif. As soon as I saw that picture, I thought of a red queen. It's a drawing that is even in the album.
"To tell the truth, that drawing is one that my friend Sulli drew for me, and Sulli draws well. That's why I visited Sulli's house, saw that picture, thought it fit the lyrics I was thinking of, and borrowed that picture to write [the song]."
That's pretty cool!
