The press conference for KBS 2TV drama, 'Producer,' took place on May 11 at The Raum with the four main actors, including IU.
On this day, IU, who plays top singer Cindy, was asked, "Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, and Kim Soo Hyun are all producers, but you're the only one who's a singer.
"Don't you feel left out?" She replied, "I felt both left out and guilty. They're all originally actors and I was originally a singer, so I think I felt intimidated. No one treats me badly, but I'm feeling like this by myself for no reason."
In relation to getting an offer for her role, she said, "When I heard about the actors they'd cast, I wanted to get my spoon in there," making everyone laugh. Who wouldn't want to join such a star-studded lineup?
She talked more in depth about her character, revealing she was very similar to Cindy. IU said, "We're fascinatingly alike when it comes to venting frustrations on our managers. Even my manager was reading lines with me and said it gave him goosebumps. Everybody has his or her frustrations and irritability. There are times when I'm acting and I think, 'Ah, this is me.'"
Her character, Cindy, is a 10-year ice Princess who became a famous celebrity after training since she was thirteen years old.
The drama will start airing on May 15!

JYP Entertainment's J.Y. Park appeared on JTBC's 'Newsroom' on May 5 to talk about a variety of things, including IU, who auditioned for the agency, and EXID's Hani, who was a trainee.
J.Y. Park said in relation to losing these now successful ladies, "The timing was not right for their color or the direction they were going. If anything, it could be that they did well because they left."
In relation to being the oldest singer in first place, J.Y. Park said, "After being first place for two weeks, I've now come down. I was called the oldest. I don't know if I should be happy about that. When I debuted, I wanted to become a long-time singer more than a popular singer. I especially wanted to be a dance singer and in that regard, I am both proud and a bit scared as I wonder why it's only me [remaining as an older dance singer]."
