IU and Lee Hyun Woo opened up about a topic that fans have been eager to hear about - their past dating rumors!

On the January 28th broadcast of SBS' 'One Night of TV Entertainment' the two were interviewed on the set of their latest photoshoot. The interviewer pointed out that the two had pictures taken of them attending a late-night movie together back in 2013, and IU started to laugh, prompting Lee Hyun Woo to remark, "Why are you laughing so loudly?".

IU then said, "We met this morning, and asked each other, 'How long has it been since we've last seen each other? Isn't it the first time since those pictures were taken of us?'... We really didn't know that photos were really being taken of us. Their skill is no joke."

When asked, "Weren't a lot of guys jealous of you for your dating rumors with IU?", Lee Hyun Woo shared with a laugh, "I got bashed on by a lot of her male fans." He also explained that they're just close friends, stating, "We got to know each other because of 'Inkigayo', and [Girl's Day's] Minah also joined [the show] afterwards. I keep in touch with Minah too, and see her often. If I tell her that I have a movie screening, she comes and visits."

The interviewer then pointed out that IU didn't show up for Lee Hyun Woo's recent movie screening, and IU explained, "I was totally joking with him the night before saying that I wasn't coming, but of course I intended to go. However, the next day, coincidentally, I suddenly became sick and couldn't go." Lee Hyun Hoo teased her saying, "Really, coincidentally huh."

When asked to pick the 'winner' among these two friends, Lee Hyun Woo chose IU over Minah. The interviewer commented, "You'll probably get a call from Minah," to which he shared, "It's okay. She's a friend who'll understand." IU joked back, "Then are you saying that I'm someone who won't?", making Lee Hyun Woo shake his head in denial with a laugh.
