With 2015 already underway in Korea, media outlet Star News reached out to some of the experts in the entertainment industry to find out who they believe is the artist most looked forward to in the new year.

Coming in at the top were none other than digital-killer IU, fast rising girl group EXID, and YG's new rookie group iKON!

Among the 28 industry experts surveyed, including producers, agency executives, broadcast PDs, music critics, and more, the three mentioned artists clinched the top spot with 4 votes each!

Following these top 3 for a tie in second place were EXO, SISTAR, A Pink, Block B, BTOB, MAMAMOO, and who all received 2 votes each.

The experts were also asked what was the most pressing task or issue lying ahead for the music industry in 2015. The top 3 voted for are as follows: "a need for variety of genres to receive love" (11 votes), "improvement of artists' talents or skills" (4 votes), "diversification of stages or performances, trying out new challenges" (3 votes)

151207 IU to hold an encore concert at the end of the year

IU just had a very successful solo concert 'CHAT-SHIRE', and fans will be even happier to know that she'll hold another concert this month!

LOEN Tree stated that IU will hold her encore concert on December 30 and 31 at Seoul's Jamsil Sports Complex's school gymnasium.

It's a good thing IU's holding an encore concert, because there surely are fans who weren't able to score a ticket to her first one. Tickets for her 'CHAT-SHIRE' concert sold out immediately. She had concerts in Seoul, Busan and Daegu in late November and early December.

It looks like some lucky fans will be spending their last few days of the year with IU! Tickets go on sale December 10 at 8pm KST through Interpark.

It has been reported that singer IU will be showcasing a brand new song through her comeback drama “Producer.”

On April 18, a representative of IU agency told OSEN, “IU is planning to reveal a new song through ‘Producer,’ but this song is for her character.

Because she is playing the character of a singer, she has a scene on stage, which is when she will sing her new song.”

The agency rep continued, “This song was made with her character in mind from the beginning. IU is currently giving her best and focusing on filming for the drama.”
