The new KBS drama “Beautiful Man” will be premiering this week, and the cast and media gathered yesterday to open the doors with a press conference.
During the event, lead actress IU answered many of the media’s questions, including her different roles as a singer and actor, as well as her interaction with her “Beautiful Man” castmates.
About her leading man, Jang Geun Suk, she said, “When Jang Geun Suk is acting, I think, ‘How did he think of that?’ I was shocked after watching him reading his script and making the gestures. He developed them himself, and they were fresh.” IU showed her amazement and respect for Jang Geun Suk’s acting skills.
IU then spoke about her other co-star Lee Jang Woo. She commented, “It was strange, but we were friendly right from the beginning of filming. We play each other’s soulmate, and even in acting, we are soulmates. I spoke comfortably to him right away. We talked about various things, and because there are a lot of scenes with David (Lee Jang Woo’s role), it was comfortable.”
