As many of you might have already realized some annoyances brought by iTunes 12 that have prevented us from using the new version smoothly, here are some useful tips to get rid of the annoyances with ease.
Show Missing Side Bar
To get back the missing sidebar on iTunes 12, you can simply choose a media library by clicking the icons at the top-left of the window and then click Playlists in the navigation bar. Then the side bar will display while showing the currently selected media library plus all your playlists.
Get Back Older Info Window
On iTunes 12, the info window gets a little bit different with some tags inaccessible. If you don't like this and would prefer the older version, you can still change it by yourself. Just select one or more files, press the Option key, right-click on the selected files and choose Get Info. You will get the exactly same window with iTunes 11.
Display Hidden Music Videos
Unlike iTunes 11 which displays Music Videos in the navigation bar, iTunes 12 hide that option for us. Fortunately, we can still easily access to the videos if we like. When entering Music library, click Playlists in the navigation bar as mentioned in point 1, you will see the entry for Music Videos near the top of the sidebar.
Please Note: Music videos downloaded from iTunes 12 are protected by Apple's FairPlay DRM which prevents us enjoying those video files on non-Apple devices. If any of you who would love to watch iTunes music videos or movies with DRM protection on Android, Windows or other OS based phones or tablets, you can refer to link to get rid of the DRM restriction at first place.
