The only thing which led to their victory is team performance. If one failed; other played!
Same can't be said 'bout other teams, can it be?
My answer is a big NO..
The runner-up team RCB was pretty good, but they depended a lot on Gayle's batting as well as bowling! He failed in both departments in final and you can see the result!
MI was pretty brilliant; but their batting and fielding was a bit weak. The had best bowling attack in my opinion! Lasith Malinga and Harbhajan... Do I really need to say more?
KKR!! My once favorite team!! I supproted it in first 3 seasons wihtout any success! But I didn't support it in this season!
Only reason was Saurav Ganguly! What KKR without him? Well, I'll stop ramblig 'bout my hardend feelings towards team.. This team was not much better that last season! Team lost Ganguly, Gayle and McCullam and gained Gambhir and Yusuf! But I still say that Gambhir plays better when he's not captain! He played well; but as usual team lacked combined performance!
KXIP!! I say you this to all KXIP fans! This team has worst team spirit! In all 4 IPL season, the are considered to be most fair playing team, but internal disputes and disagreements is the reason of their continuos failure!
RR!! No offense to fans of RR, but I still think, how the heck did they manage to win IPL 1! For 1st 3 seasons, this team was weakest! They had good spirit and killer instinct which led them to win.. Team was not that good this season and it lacked killer instinct!! You can see from various games; they simply gave up!
PWI! I can't say much 'bout this team, but it's one of the weaker team of season! Captaincy was not at its best and team effort was not that good! The also depended a lot on thier star players like RCB!
KTK! I would say that team was pretty strong! Its a shame they didn't performed well. But that's not a big surprise since local players were really less experienced!
DC!! It came as a surprise!! I really thought this team was going to win! Peterson, Theron, Steyn, Sanga, Ishant!! I don't know what went wrong!
DD!! Same thing! Totally depending on star players! You can't expect from Sehwag to hit a century in each match.. And Sehwag can't expect his catches to be dropped 3 times in each match!!
