Akumaru can turn into a clone of Kiba. But how?

I guess it's something that only people from the Inuzuka clan can do... Kiba turns Akamaru into a clone of himself whilst he, himself, becomes a bit more dog-like. Then they can use fang over fang! =^_^= At least, that's what I guess...
