Who's better , Kagome or Kikyo?

Kagome is best by far!!! No offence to Kikyo fans but she's more understanding than Kikyo and forgives what Inuyasha does when he hears about Kikyo, etc. She lets Kikyo do things and lets her live and sort of "share" Inuyasha if that makes sense but Kikyo tried to kill her at first and doesn't exactly think for Inuyasha. Afterwards, she changed of course but she was still kind of unreasonable. Kagome is more understanding, caring and kind than Kikyo and she at least doesn't try to interfere with Inuyasha and Kikyo like Kikyo selfishly did at first. Kagome was rly considerate about Inuyasha and Kikyo's relationship and didn't try to take him away from her or anything.

No matter personality or what they do, I personally think Kagome is WAAAAAAAAAY better than Kikyo. And also, I think she's prettier, her heart and appearance :)

in my opinion its Kikyo,duty over love.I know, people will say its mean,but don't you think the duty-bounded people won't feel a single resentment pain of leaving your loved one just for work?was that saying soldiers with family are mean because they didn't go home for Christmas just because they had to protect the country's border?

leaving someone for your duty doesn't mean you love them less.Trying to kill them out of lonely just show how much you want to be with them, although that doesn't mean I encourage it.

Kikyo was a kind,pure heart girl who get distorted out of her pure path just because of a man's jealousy.She tried to kill her lover because she thought he had been using him and once was because she wanted badly to end with him.Its not purely evil.Its a pain coming from your loneliness,a pure sadness.

She wanted to kill Kagome,yep.Tried to imagine you're Kikyo,you're on a holiday to another part of the world but when you're unwillingly had to go home back,you found there is this girl,with you're job,ability,and appearances,maybe.Oh and she also sticked closed to your x-boyfriend to whom you still harbored feelings for.You'll stay still,let them be lovey-dovey,acted out all pure & honestly wish them to live happily ever after?

Kikyo was a kind woman when alive,and is still a kind one when a living dead.But when becoming a living dead,she has a much more freer soul that she can do nasty things which is part of human's flaws,something she had restrained herself from doing when living.

She'll no longer used the two-goody-shoes ways to defeat Naraku,but a rougher one,just because she felt its faster & easier,and you call it a reason to hate her?(to any Kikyo's haters here).she just has flaws,its ok if u didn't like her because of her flaws,but one certain thing,her flaw isn't evil.If not,she wouldn't have saved Miroku,Kouga and Kohaku,right?

My option Kikyo is way better. And it's not because I hate Kagome. It's because of many things... Actually to tell the truth I once really liked Kagome, in fact she was once my fave. But then I started to see her behavior, actions and everything... I really started to dislike her. If she really loves Inuyasha why is she always yelling "sit boy"? It hurts him! She tries to make him see her, pay more attention to her... And she hardly even lets him talk to Kikyo. She wants to know what they talk about and makes him say it even though it's none of her busyness. She got in the way between them. And what I'm trying to say is she got Inuyasha to love her and express less feelings for Kikyo than before (of course he still loves Kikyo but it was shown to love her less than before after Kagome came...). And I don't know why you all hate Kikyo so much, but all I wanna say is she's not evil nor a "bitch" as you all call her... How could you all hate her so much when she is even more mature than Kagome! She understands the problems would never act to her "love" they way Kagome does. She is a peaceful priestess and very clam while Kagome is very annoying and inpatient. Kikyo helps people the best way she can. She almost risks her life for her people and young children. She helps a lot and saves many people, but you all treat her like she did nothing but trouble. Her life was a sorrow and pain. She expressed much pain, much suffery. Most of it was Naraku's fault. She got her heart broke, injured very badly, helped much people while much of them didn't do anything for her. She showed her kindness to all. Even helped Onigumo. She took pity on him and that is the good side of her. Evil or not they’re still people with feelings and Kikyo understands it all! She understand her destiny fully. And as much as she wants to be with Inuyasha she understands it will do no good. This is how her life is. She can't be with the person she loved and cared for the most because that's how her life is. And you think it's easy for her? She even let Kagome have Inuyasha and didn't do anything to stop it. She let Kagome have the man she cared and loved the most! Of course i feel thankful to Kagome for saving Kikyo a few times but there's nothing to thank her for. Kikyo already let her have Inuyasha and she didn't ask Kagome to help her anyway. Of course that was a good hearty of Kagome but she did this for Inuyasha, not Kikyo. So Kikyo shouldn't thank her. She experienced much pain and this is how everyone treats her! Calls her a "bitch" and more other bad words! Is it because you ll don't understand her life? Kikyo tried to live a normal life, wanted to live a life of a normal woman, but things didn't turn out her way. Her life lead to a sorrow. And that’s how it ended. The only thing that made her happy before she left this life was that she was with Inuyasha one last time and shared one last kiss... U_U

i think kagome is way better! why? well one kagome has been on more adventurs with inuyasha than stupid kikyo! i mean just think about it ppl! of course inuyasha still has feelings 4 kikyo but everytime kagome is in dander who is the first one to get upset and run to save her....inuyasha! so i think kagome is also consered 4 inuyasha to, shes loved him from the start! kagome is very useful in battles and shes understanding when inuyasha goes of on his stupid journey to save kikyo! so in my perspective i belive it kagome...and inuyasha should open his eyes and forget about kikyo!

Kagome is the best girl ever. She's forgiving, more understanding, caring and kind than Kikyo, Kagome doesn't try to interfere with Inuyasha and Kikyo. Kagome was really considerate about their relationship, she didn't try to take him away from Kikyo or whatever, she's prettier, funny, smart, not judgemental, and her heart is pure, good, and made of gold.

Seriously, why does there always have to be division in loving Kagome or Kikyo? In loving these two women, i am like Inuyasha; i love them both equally. I mean, yeah, Kagome always tells Inu to sit, but it's only when he deserves it, plus that spell was originally going to be Kikyo's, remember? And, yeah, Kikyo tried to kill Kagome, but she was going through some stuff at the time and she can be forgiven. Kagome is pure and Kiyo is noble, and they are both beautiful, so let's learn to love them all

Its just a matter of opinions and circumstances, but I like Kikyou better. She doesn't have this big annoying jealousy issue, acts right under pressure (which Kagome doesn't) and she's just SO cool
kikyo's life was very sad: she had a huge power, yet she wanted to be normal. When, she fell in love, she died believing herself betrayed... then revived against her will, to wander as a zombie forever, and saw that her love was with another woman: her REINCARNATION!! I mean, if that's not sad, then what?
And Kagome IS interfering between Kikyo and InuYasha: ahe demands to know where they were, how much time, of what things did they talk... leave them alone!!! Sadly, ger firends support this attitude

(I've stated enough reasons for this alreay in previous answers and picks, I just Like Kikyo better. Kagome annoys me, and Kikyo is trgaic... I like tragic better...shrugs) So there it is:P

Of course I don't like the way the poster question was asked, it should be 'Who do you like better?'... not 'who IS better?' looks like the question is in demand of a statement of facts rather than opinions. I think people who post questions should think a little bit more about what they want to say and ask before posting, I think it would encourace people to respond with more mature answers. *In a battle, Kikyo's a lot stronger and would probably help more.
*For Inuyasha, Kagome's a lot better because when you think about... Kikyo is technically a part of Kagome (her soul) and when Kikyo dies that part will probably end up back inside Kagome anyway. Plus, Kikyo can't have children and is waaaaaaay too high strung.

if the question about their skill in battlefield, KIKYO is better.

i don't know why people said that Kikyo make a bigger sacrificies over her duty and love than Kagome. in my opinion, Kagome's sacrifies as equal as Kikyo's... so is her pain. she had to leave her world, her friends, her family, her school... and suddenly sucked into Feudal Era which is not her choice but because of what-so-called DESTINY. but as I followed the story, it was Kikyo's wish "to see Inuyasha again" that makes Kagome met with Inuyasha. Kagome had to leave her normal girl life and suddenly living in this strangers' world and had to carry such duty.
for those who said Kagome is selfish, think it over. if she is selfish, she'd have abandoned this job long ago. she's better living in her current peaceful world rather than experiencing such hardships in feudal era.

in some ways Kikyo maybe be more mature than Kagome, but not if it's involved love towards Inuyasha. Kikyo is more possesive than Kagome. Kikyo tries to bound Inuyasha even after her death, that's why she avoid heart-to-heart conversation with Inuyasha after she's been resurrected. even after she found out that it was Naraku's plot that make them hate each other, she keeps avoiding to talk about this with Inuyasha. every time she meets Inuyasha, she always full with her possesiveness. she tried to kill Kagome, tried to drag Inuyasha into hell with her, manipulated Inuyasha through illusion. IMHO, this is such a selfish love. if it was Kagome, she won't do such things to express her love. after learning the truth, why dont Kikyo talk it over with Inuyasha then say goodbye to him and leave him peacefully? this way they can have a proper broke up. by appear and suddenly disappear again, it just seems like she's trying to bind Inuyasha more and more.
another point that shows Kagome's maturity is that she accepts Inuyasha the way he is, she never asked him to be a normal human like Kikyo did.

if that Naraku's infant had chance to see into Kikyo's heart... i wonder what will he see, but i think it'll be darker than Kagome's heart. so, in my opinion she's not really that super pure hearted girl.

and about that 'osuwari' thing, i could say Inuyasha deserves it. even Sango tried it on Inuyasha, though she failed.

i don't hate Kikyo... the one i hate is Inuyasha for being such a fickle guy.

Kikyo. I could say a ton about it, but most of the things i'd want to say have already been said for me by others...:)

kikyo is far better than kagome. better in looks, power, skill and intelligence, and of course love. yeah yeah i know how she acted mean and out of spite and all. but it is evident that inuyasha loved kikyo more. his eyes are always filled with immense love whenever he sees kikyo. the way he looks at her, thinks of her, longs for her love..its just beautiful.
and kagome. yes she is kind hearted and nice but...she looks horrible, i guess i can why inuysha likes, but is DEFINITELY NOT my fave. no wisdom, no beauty and the only thing she is good is at saying "SIT BOY!" kikyo's personality, her aura, her kindness is what makes her my fave. the most beautiful anime girl.

Kikyo started the path, she was Inuyasha's first love. Inuyasha even picked Kikyo over Kagome. To the point where Kagome went home, cried to her mom, went back and just wanted to be with Inuyasha knowing that Kikyo was first in his heart.

I feel that Kikyo would've been a better mate for Sesshomaru, as Kikyo isn't childish like Kagome.

Kagome is always crying, and screaming and panicking. She has a great heart, don't get me wrong. I love both of them. But Kikyo is better and it isn't really that close.

Kikyo is more powerful, her knowledge is better, and the only thing that slows her down is that she has to borrow soul to stay alive. I think that if Kikyo had lived, and Inuyasha had the choice between an alive Kikyo or Kagome, I believe that Inuyasha would choose Kikyo every single time.

Personally i adore Kagome a lot more. although Kikyo isn't my favorite i understand her life was tragic. all she wanted was to be a normal girl i get that... Although if her love for Inuyasha was true then how come her trust/love for him was broken so easily. I mean yes if i was in her situation i'd have doubts but i know that deep in the back of my mind i wouldn't believe it. To me it shows that their love was not as strong as they thought it was. Kagome on the other hand loved Inuyasha from the start & you cane easily tell that he love for him will never be broken.

Kikyo like i said before...i feel like their love was not strong enough. Although if i was put in her shoes i'd feel her pain and as to why she'd want Inuyasha & why she'd despise Kagome in a sense but...Kikyo is dead. Her life is over & he soul needs to move on, and her & Inuyasha must learn that. Besides form the beginning Kikyo has always given me a sense of unease. whenever she showed up i felt almost anger because i knew she was going to try and do something that the REAL Kikyo wouldn't do, yet loneliness drives you to do crazy things her action still made me upset. that & her soul was literally staying alive off of dead/lost souls and anger/hate. was a sour way to live[even though technically she isn't alive.] first loves are hard to overcome...but lets face it. Inuyasha & Kagome's love is clearly much stronger than his & Kikyo's.and yeah yeah yeah i know Kikyo had Inuyasha first...but think about it...how offten to first loves work out anyways. i know my first "true" love was down the toilet and i knwo many peoples who did as well...sometimes you THINK you love someone when you really do not... but we all know Kagome had strong feelings for Inuyasha since day one...and Inu, well he felt for her too...but not having the right/proper closer that most people get form their first relationship can really screw with your heart. & thats all he really needed was closer to then realize his true love/feelings for Kagome were much stronger than his for Kikyo. I dont hate kikyo, i actually feel sorry for her. and i always hoped that she find her way back to the after world soon because, wondering earth like she did only made her soul more sour and lonely. she strived to be alive again when clearly its not meant to be...she lived a tragic story...and i always wanted it to end for her, peacefully like it should have when she first died.

honestly i think kagome and why i will tell first of all i would like to shout out all my kagome lovers. Anyway she is better because she is understanding and in the episodes when SHE SAVED KIKYO MORE THEN ONCE AND KIKYO DIDNT THANK HER!!!! Also inuyasha and kagome was on more adventures than kikyo anyways kagome is even nicer than kikyo and kikyo is to high strong for one im glad naraku killed her i was sick of the drama

Kikyo and it's not even close. She's far more special than an average spoiled modern day girl whose obnoxious jealousy stems from stupid reasons.

Kagome had everything going for her and yet that still wasn't enough to keep her from whining, abusing Inuyasha and disrespecting his past, his feelings or even choices.

Kikyo is the polar opposite, she had everything going AGAINST her, having endured so much before and after her death. Yet she continued to fight back and resist. She distanced herself, leaving Inuyasha all to Kagome. She continued to contribute to the betterment of the world by keeping everyone safe, successfully rebelling against her curse which was supposed to make her a monster of sorts. (recurring theme in Japanese mythology/literature)

Kagome created an illusion of an evil Kikyo out of raw bitterness and was never able to realize it was an illusion until she was told so by the Guardian of Mount Azusa himself.

Kikyo was capable of sensing Kagome's bitter feelings, as well as her meaning to Inuyasha. Whereas Kagome couldn't genuinely relate to or respect Inuyasha and Kikyo's tragic past as shown in her childish behavior and misplaced jealousy throughout.

Inuyasha coming for Kikyo at the end was "good enough" to Kikyo, which shows how selfless she actually was, even as a cursed existence..

i've been dieing for someone to ask me this question. of course it's kikyo, kikyo can just shoot her arrow within 3 seconds while kagome has to sit there for about 20 saying steady steady hit the target yes. and besides lets see kagome take naraku on by herself for a while.and one last thing kagome couldn't pin inuyasha to a tree if she tried furthermore still have him love her. so there that proves kikyo is better than kagome even though there are millions of more reasons why she is.

Because she is a stronger fighter,shes prettier,older, she has more experience, she is alot smarter and wiser.She isnt as heartless as everyone thinks.The only reason she wanted to kill Kagome is because she felt that Kagome was stealing her own love. I believe Kagome is better than Kikyo because of the way Kagome loves Inuyasha. Kikyo was the type of person who did not believe in love but Inuyasha in a way had to show her. Her guard was always up around him until he gave her something very precious to him, and then she finally felt his love. Kagome loved him by falling in love with him and she made him happy and realize a lot of things that he didn't quite understand when he was with Kikyo. Yes, I felt a little bad for Kikyo of how her love was twisted but if she truthfully cared then she would've thought that he could never do something as to hurt her as Kagome would have thought to herself. Kagome dodged an arrow for Inuyasha because she would never want anything like that to happen to him, and she almost died. They would risk each other's life for each other, and I think that is what love should be. Kikyo has a very good reason for why she did what she did. Her life was tragic. Poor girl, but she seemed to turn good at the end. Kagome is good too. They're both nice. So what if Kikyo didn't love InuYasha like Kagome did. Should that really effect our opinions. Her guard was up because her life was tragic. I like Kagome too, though.

I personally like Kikyo but have nothing against Kagome. What I can't understand is why people can't just like them both. Kikyo lovers usually hate Kagome and Kagome lovers hate Kikyo. Kagome got Inuyasha in the end, so stop dieing about it! Anyway, I like Kikyo better but I also like Kagome just a little less, so there you go, very late answer, but whatever.

Well, I like Kagome better. She is cheerful, helpful and has a likable personality. She taught InuYasha how to smile, have fun and rely on others. She, in my opinion is also forgiving. Kikyo on the other hand is also sweet and prefers to be duty-bounded. But there's just something about her personality that makes me like her less.

Kikyo!!! I feel sorry for her, she`s been through so much and ended suffering again when she was brought back to life, not according to her will. Even though she was sad and lonely, she still continued to heal people and she was kind to the villagers

Kagome because she lets Inuyasha go see Kikyo when she knows she still loves him. She still helps him out and tries to cheer him up. She saves Kikyo twice when Kikyo tries to kill her and when she saves Kikyo she doesn't even get a 'thanks' or 'thank you'. Kagome never gave the jewel shards to Naraku like Kikyo did. She loved Inuyasha for who he is unlike Kikyo who wanted him to be human. Kagome even adopted Shippo! She has been there and forgave him when he tried to get the jewel shards. She is more understanding as well as caring. She loves Inuyasha yet she still allows him to see Kikyo with out going into a huff. She may not be as powerful as Kikyo but I believe she is kinder and better.

How can anyone say they HATE Kagome when obviously the lead character IS Kagome! The story is told from her point of view and if you hate her so much why would you even care about the story enough to even read or watch it??? Kagome and Kikiyo both went through a lot so i'm not going to judge them. No one went through what they did.

Well....Ofcorse i choose Kikyo. She is cool and usefull than Kagome. Kagome is just a little child XD. When i first time saw Kikyo i was like " uuuhhh... Kikyou all the way! Kagome is one of the worst main heroines that I have ever seen. With her constant complaining and whining and every sit she uses on poor Inuyasha. She hardly gets hurt and she's just awful. Kikyou on the other hand,is way better. She's kinder and more respected. She doesn't have to scream for Inuyasha every single time she gets caught. Her character in general is better. She's not annoying,she's quite useful. Also for the whole looks thing,Kikyou looks prettier than Kagome. -Waits for the rabid Kagome fans to nag at me for hating her-

In my opinion, he loves the both of them, but I think if he really had to choose between the two of them, he would pick Kagome. I think that in the beginning of the series, Inuyasha was only starting to develop feelings for Kagome, and still loved Kikyo more, but by the end, he realized that he loved Kagome more. In episode 48, he didn't really realize his love for Kagome, and he chose Kikyo, but in episode 151, he had the option to go after Kikyo, but stayed with Kagome because he realized he would rather be with her. He also gets really jealous when other guys are around Kagome. He is always protecting her, and depressed when she goes back to her own era. It might seem like he loved Kikyo more because, in my opinion, she was more open to Inuyasha, and Inuyasha didn't want to admit to himself that he loved Kagome, but Kagome and Inuyaha are both stubborn, and dont want to admit their feelings to each other. So yeah, I think he loved Kikyo at first, but by the end, he loved Kagome more.

WELL i think its kagome because she been there for inuyasha for long time BUT i feel sorry for kikyo but still need to go to her dead place because people need rest from her people been in alot of things when died people cried done alot of things and plus kagome came she just start to love inuyasha and plus kikyo is dead she can not have kids no more so i wish kikyo but out of kagome and inuyasha life i am happy she died early so that kagome can be born i thank her for that but still i feel very very sorry for her ok bye

I like Kagome, but I have a few things to say. At a time I really didn't like Kikyo. I disliked her without trying to understand her point of view. I read a few answers and I see that someone people hate Kagome for always asking Inuyasha what he and Kikyo were talking about. I would like to explain this. At first I didn't fully understand either, but when you go back to the series, when Kagome and Inuyasha started to spend time together before Kikyo was revived they both developed feelings for each other. Like with Kikyo it was like a relationship withouth the status boyfriend and girlfriend. So when Kikyo appeared Kagome obviously wanted to know what they talked about. In one episode Inuyasha said to Miroku "I suppose I can't have both of them." or something of the sort. Meaning he had feelings for them both. Kikyo is a good person even though it's sometimes hard to see. I imagine with her new found freedom as a dead priestess she found it easier to hate or be angry since she didn't have the obligation to be nice or anything like that. She indulged herself with her freedom is all.

The reason I like Kagome more than Kikyo is simply because I find her very understanding. Sure she gets mad sometimes and she has her faults, but she realizes that being jealous and bitter towards Inuyasha and Kikyo's relationship is normal. She realizes that even though she feels that way it does't mean she should naturally hate them for it.

Kagome and Kikyo don't seem to hate each other either. Though at first Kikyo might have thought less of Kagome simply because she is her reincarnation she came to understand that Kagome deeply cares for Inuyasha(I'm not talking about love) In some ways the two are similair. They both care for Inuyasha and they both love him. They also know that Inuyasha cares for both of them as well though Kagome may be a little bit ignorant to that fact since she feels Inuyasha can only love Kikyo because she was his first love.

I dont think it's needed to hate either character. I'm sure the creator didn't want them to be hated when she made the character. I'm not saying you're not aloud to hate them if you feel like it. I'm just stating my own opinion. I like Kagome and don't like Kikyo.

Oh and Kagome might be a more childish then Kikyo since I figure Kagome is in fact younger than the dead priestess. Someone mention Kagome was immature, hehe, just saying.

I would have to say kikyo because she is understanding she can get a little mean but is still nice and is beautiful... don't get me wrong I still love kagome but for some reason I love kikyo more!

Inuyasha chose Kagome, THE END! Why should Inuyasha be together with a dead girl? I know Inuyasha loved Kikyo and Kikyo loved Inuyasha but Kikyo wants Inuyasha to be a human, well as for Kagome she loves Inuyasha just the way he is.

Kikyou.I like how independent she is. She was willing to die with her lover after she pinned him to a tree. She didn't dare to use jewel to save her own life. Kikyou decided to end the chaos of demons doing anything to capture the jewel by having the jewel disappear with her body. It is good idea to bring in peace into the village. She always practiced her aim while she was alive. She is always caring toward everyone she meets. She is very wise and clever person. Kikyou uses her powers to save Kohaku life instead of keeping the jewel shard pure. Her light was more focus on the boy living his future. She is girl with a lot of negative events surrounding her own life, but still able to be a victorious priestess. This is only a small portion of why i believe she is so amazing. regardless if she is alone, Kikyou is full of victory.

Seeing someone who basically live a happy life with small about of pain is not all that great. It just shows a person who have a good life sometimes have a few downs. It is more amazing seeing someone who is standing up with all odds against her.

it is sad that her life always seem to go down in depressing ways. She'd felt sad when the girl (whom she claim that she adore like a little sister) saw scary part of her telling the monk to leaver her be. No one is there whenever she getting kill. She always end up dying alone. In her final death, she was able to find peace. Inuyasha feels like a hypocrite. He is able to save kagome girl when she is in trouble. He was not able to detect that Naraku was pretending to be her. I thought he as a dog demon. he doesn't smell her blood at all when she is in trouble. Only thing that seemed good was she was able to find peace in her last death.

kikyo, yeah, she may be jealous of kagome for having to steal inuyasha from her and probably had tried to kill her and inuyasha, but she has her reasons for being the way she acted against inuyasha and kagome. I can see she was loving and caring the first time she was alive, but now she's dead and resurrected and was still caring against others in the final act episodes! So go ahead and hate on a dead priestess who is just trying to do what she still can dead or alive!!

I would say Kagome because she never wanted to use the jewel to make Inuyasha human or for anything else. She wanted Inuyasha to be the same even at the end, he stayed half-demon. She was always beside him and never betrayed him even though he was still in love with Kikyo. Kikyo believed fast that Inuyasha betrayed her and wanted the jewel, she could've talked to him before making any decision. I believe that love is to be with someone no matter what they are instead of changing them.

Okay it's about to get real I love Inuyasha it's the best anime ever created and I am serious about this issue. Kagome IS BETTER! I don't totally hate Kikyo but she always acts high and mighty "oh it's the greater good if Kohaku dies." What if it was Inuyasha?! And second people say Kagome is annoying and a cry baby but wouldn't you be a little grumpy if the adorable Inuyasha kept running of with Kikyo's dead ass? I mean she stays with him but he doesn't try to spare her feelings and not go! Wouldn't you be pissed if you're boyfriend kept going off to see his ex! He probably get cussed out and broke up with but Kagome loves him enough to stay, would Kikyo do that? NO! Oh she tragic yeah I understand but Inuyasha didn't get all kill crazy or act sorrowful and all pitiful did he know he wasn't an idiot! She did get better towards the end but still Kagome is better. And what really pisses me off is how people always say we'll Kikyo's more powerful Kagome's weak. Kikyo probably trained her whole life Kagome just had to magically learn I think she did great. She also till the very end of the series had a seal on her powers! KAGOME RULES!😨

Regardless any other consideration, Kikyo is more beautiful under any aspects: it's very weird... the faces of characters destined to be considered beautiful (the main characters always are this way in romantic series) are almost all the same, apart the hair, but for Kagome they have been able to picture a face less beautiful than many other female characters, less than Kikyo, than Sango, than the spider-girl, also than Sesshomaru! Not to mention that poor hair, full of strange spikes, without any grace.
The dress, well, it seems that Japanese girls have to go to school nearly naked... in other world areas, such a skirt would be a dress suitable for places along the beach or discos... much more charming the look of the priestess (the bodies of those girls are exactly the same, you know, and it's evident also from the dress of kikyo how is her silhouette). Then the name... well in some areas the word Kagome is a name that sounds like a very very vulgar thing, while the word Kikyo is beautiful.
Kikyo was not just the first love (without question mark, since Inuyasha himself says it is so): she was exactly the love Inuyasha would have had forever unless the Evil had intervened. This says everything. Not only: after her return, Inuyahsa had chose Kikyo, more than once, but Kykio chose for a while to go against Inuyasha and then to hunt Naraku alone instead of simply say YES to the manifestations of Inuyasha aimed to stay together. Now she is a spirit between earth and sky, true but, well, we are talking of a cartoon... I don't think that a girl going from nowadays to a fantastic middle ages full of demons (and joining a half-demon herself) is more realistic, or more suitable, or more romatic, or...
Oh, what a relief that it’s just a cartoon, otherwise, for a tv series of any kind, such considerations would have been a tragedy…

kagome.... cause she is simply human and easier to connect with, and for some reason i like the fact she has wide eyes it's like eye liner.... billie joe wears eye liner.... i love billie joe, anyways kikyo is cool to i just rather kagome (if only she was a little less childish) but hey everyone has there false witch makes it easier to connect to her

For me it is Kagome. no offense, but Kagome is the best woman I've ever seen. She is the best for Inuyasha, and I admit that Inuyasha still has feelings for Kikyo but he just can't move on, besides she is his first love and first love never dies.but he truly loves Kagome, and Kagome really desrves Inuyasha, and Inuyasha deserves her. Kagome didn't try to change Inuyasha like Kikyo did. She accept Inuyasha even if he is half demon. She didn't try to make Inuyasha forget Kikyo because she loves him, and he understand what he feels. She really does love Inuyasha unlike Kikyo she tried to change Inuyasha. And besides if they truly love each other why would they try to kill each other? Even though Naraku tricked them they should've never believed it. and if they truly love each other why they don't trust each other? Kagome and Inuyasha's bond is unbreakable. She is the one who taught Inuyasha how to trust, smile, and love. She taught many things to Inuyasha. She is the only one can calm him when he is in demon form. And once Kagome is in trouble, he forgets everything around him and always try to save her. Even though he is with Kikyo he always think about Kagome. She is the one who Inuyasha's truly loves.

Kagome is better no contest.

Kikyo shares romantic feelings with him due to their loneliness and being different to others that leads to the poor guy wishing to be a human just to be with her. On the other hands, Kagome accepted him as he was and never force him to change for her, she understands Inuyasha well just by looking at him same goes with the guy, they trust each other and fulls each one strength when one of then gets weaken. Without those three important foundation, trust, acceptance and understanding, love cannot stand any trial they encounter.

KIKYO.

Although I don't hate Kagome. I just find her irritating, and kinda abusive

in my opinion, Kagome would be the best choice, most people render Kagome as being "useless" or just a "burden" to Inuyasa. But do they not recall all the various times Kagome saved Inuyasha with her sacred arrow? Or when he picked Kikyo, yet she stood by his side? And for a fact Kikyo; is dead. Sure its hard for him to forget Kikyo as it was first love. But romancing with a corpse is foolish. Not only that, but she on various occasions has tried to kill Inuyasha and Kagome, just to get the scared jewel.











Truly Kikyo is not my favorite character but she took a little too long to realise how much InuYasha really did love her, but within that timespan, he fell for Kagome



I wish she would move on, and find peace with someone else, so they can both be happy ^^

I think Kagome is stronger/ better that Kikyo.

Kaede was shocked to have known Kagome without her soul is not just an empty shell.

in Vol.20 Chapter 198, Kikyo even admitted to it saying "you who lost to me, will never beat Kagome".
