The awards night went well and there was a buffet that was made especially for the actors and actresses that attended the grand night. Hugh and Lisa were seated beside each other with foods on their plate being placed in front of them. The rest of the cast were also on table with them. All were laughing as David shared good stories to them. Little they did know that Hugh was being melted every time Lisa drew a smile on her face. It’s just so exciting for him to see her happy.
Hugh: Lisa <Lisa looked at him> uhm… too much seafood, not good for you, remember?

Hugh got really angry at Lilly’s dumb excuse as why she couldn’t come over to babysit Eileen, but didn’t want to scream in front of his daughter, so he decided to tell Lilly that they would talk later and hang up the phone. Hugh sighed as Eileen looked at him curiously. ‘Dada pway?’ Hugh’s lips curled up a little at her innocent question. ‘Sorry baby, daddy doesn’t have time to play with you anymore today…’, Hugh said softly and saw how Eileen’s expression changed from happy to sadly pouting.

Chapter 14

‘I know that yesterday I promised we would be done by 7 pm so we could have the night off, but thanks to our extremely sleepy colleagues we’ll have to work till at least 10…’, David told his crew during dinner. I arrived in Los Angeles at 7 pm. I took my luggage form the airport and caught a taxi, jostling through the crowd. About 30 minutes later I was opening the door to my room in Maison 140 hotel. I threw my stuff on the bed and headed towards cocktail cabinet. I poured some Scotch into a glass and came up to the window. The sunset was beautiful and I thought I have never seen something that beautiful in London before. Suddenly I felt happy and sad at the same time. I was glad I answered that phone...
