I'm a Hufflepuff through and through, and I can't stand it when we're stereotyped as being lame and stupid. We're awesome!

exactly, I'm very Hufflepuff with a little Ravenclaw mainly because I like school, but still 85% Hufflepuff it makes me sad that we are put down as dumb, Slytherin bad, Gryiffndor have to be the heros, and Ravenclaws too smart for their own good. The stereotypes of the houses are there but it seems Hufflepuff gets the shortest straw.

No one suspects the Hufflepuff, which can be quite fun.

Though not in the House, regrettably... I'd like to say - as a Ravenclaw - that I like Hufflepuff. There is no others to be found in Hogwarts who is more hard-working than your House. And stupidity is more excellently demostrated by some Slytherins... *evil cackle*

There are dumb people in every house, right? It's not like every stupid kid is put into Hufflepuff. Just look at Crabbe and Goyle. Besides, Ernie McMillan and Cedric Diggory were really smart, weren't they?

Yes. We are not stupid! We're caring, loyal, etc. And those traits, they are things that people look for in friends. Not cunningness! It annoys me that people say this about our house, but I'm still proud to say "I'm a Hufflepuff!"

Hufflepuffs are awesome. I'm a Gryffindor, but as I've said, I greatly admire your qualities and do not think you are dumb. It is my second favorite house and I even got sorted into it on some quizzes, though the majority was Gryffindor. Like LG said...

I'm a Hufflepuff, sorted by the online hat into this house and I was confirmed when I got Helga Hufflepuff's Bio in a chocolate frog from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And no we're not talentless, we were gathered according to our values of being just and nonjudgmental. I agree, I'm not as competitive but I've achieved my goals through hard work and dedication.

If people want to show Hufflepuff's awesomeness then...VOTE FOR 'PUFFS!!!

What HecateA said. Where did it ever say in the books that Hufflepuffs are dumb? Hardworking, yes. Dependable, yes. Just and fair, yes. Dumb? NO!
Tonks, Cedric and Professor Sprout are all shining examples of intelligent Hufflepuffs, AND they are some of the most honorable characters in the series. Why, then, do Hufflepuffs always get the short end of the stick? Probably 'cause students in other Houses are jealous of how awesome we, and Hufflepuff House itself, are. xD

Most Hufflepuffs are fairly intelligent, actually. Look at Tonks! Cedric! Sprout! Newt! I can't think of a single "stupid" Hufflepuff. Susan, Ernie, Hannah! Even Zacharias! All intelligent (and all fought in the Battle of Hogwarts)!
Actually, I can name some rather unintelligent people from other houses. Crabbe and Goyle, both Slytherins. Pettigrew, a Gryffindor (and there are a few Gryffindors who are around average intelligence. Hermione's usually end up in Ravenclaw. Gryffindors aren't stupid, but they aren't known for being top of the class either).
I think because we are hard-working, people must think it means we're making up for lack of intelligence, but it's not true! Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration (Thomas Edison said that one!). You need to be willing to work hard to achieve greatness, and that is what we Hufflepuffs do :)

I see it that way:

I am brave
I am intelligent
I am ambitious

But most of all I am kind and a great friend you can rely on.

The Sorting Hat HAD to put me somewhere and since Kindness is my most remarkable trait I am a Hufflepuff who is brave, clever and ambitious as well!

Every house has it's good and it's bad.

I can laugh at certain jokes about Hufflepuff cause I think they're funny but when people seriously believe that all Hufflepuffs are stupid with no personalities or good traits does make me upset...Like other people have said, they have traits that other houses have, as for me, I find myself relating to Ravenclaw a lot but loyalty is more important to me

Funny, because the sorting hat always is always devided at putting me in Hufflepuff or in Ravenclaw x'D

I find that people who do just use the Houses (like MBTi) as a cheap ego boost. They loudly and frequently declare they're Claws because they're so smart and ~deep even though any house can be that, or Slytherin because they "hate people lol" even though that has nothing to do with being one, or Gryffindor because their faves are in it or because they think they're real Betty Bad-As and so on. So they think Puffs are the useless, because our main traits are not made up of bragging about how much smarter/cooler/braver/edgy we are than you.

We're the ones who are already any of that, we just don't prioritize it over being a decent person. We're the least superficial usually.
