ok, so i know everyon is totally jazzed about EPISODE 6 just now, and i am too! Found this in one of my ancient folders so thought i would post it here so that i actually got someone's opinion on it! Be brutual, but not mean please! not that my fellow huddies would!
What on earth is she doing on that computer? wondered House as he stood at the nurses station, trying to look busy, trying to put off having to start his clinic duty. In truth, he was waiting for Cuddy to come out of her office and yell at him to get a move on. She usually made sure she had a break at the same time he was to go to the clinic so that she could do just that, but recently she had been so engrossed in something that was on her computer that she was forever locked up in her office with her eyes glued to the screen. House was curious, Cuddy had always had a routine and House really wanted to know what was disrupting it, it must be something big, he thought and taht only increased his curiosity.
Later that day when House knew Cuddy was in a meeting he snuck into her office (using his skeleton key)and began searching her recent visits on the internet. He did realise that his behaviour bordered on (and could be considered as)stalking, but he dismissed this as he really didn't care how he found out what was going on with her, as long as he did. He found that she constantly visited a site called SingleDoctors.com and when he clicked on it, it came up asking PartyPants to log on. House smiled at the username she was using, it was a nickname she had when they were back in college. Then an evil grin grew on his face: he had a plan. He was going to join this SingleDoctors.com and talk to Cuddy. This way, he thought, I can get recent dirt on her to tease her with. What username can i use? BIGcane, no too obvious, CaneMan, still too obvious, she would know straight away. I know, PianoMan, he thought, not too obvious but not so subtle that it is undetectable. He quickly shuut down her computer and made a hasty exit, keen to put his plan into operation.
Later that day; Cuddy had just finished her budget report and had the urge to go onto the chatroom. I am completely addicted to this, she thought, how pathetic, and none of the people on here are very interesting. She found that she had a few messages left for her, but was dissappointed when she saw they were from DrLove who she thought was an a$$ and now wished she had never spoke to. Then she saw a new username: PianoMan. Do i talk to him, do i not? she mused. Then as if making the decision for her, aprivate chat box popped up:
PianoMan: Hi PartyPants, I'm new, and the others are kind of insane, mond if i tak to you?
PartyPants: Hi, nice to meet you. So what brings you to this chatroom?
PianoMan: Escaping from my annoying, pain in the a$$ colleagues. You?
PartyPants: Same, and trying to ignore my ever increasing pile of paperwork.
PianoMan: I guess i am in good company then.
PatyPants: Good to know i am not suffering on my own.
PianoMan: So, who do i need to watch out for on here? (Aside from you of course - only kidding)
PartyPants: It's not really my place to say
PianoMan: Please
PartyPants: DrLove is 'quirky' and LadyF seems to be working her way through all the men. Oh, and DrDiagnostician is married.
PianoMan: That didn't take much persuasion did it?
PartyPants: You asked, I answered. If someone had told me that I wouldn't have ended up with DrLove practically stalking me via email.
PianoMan: Fair enough and don't worry I won't stalk you, i'll have my fellows do it.
PartyPants: ...
PianoMan: That was a sarcastic comments, but they don't really work on here i guess. oopz
PartyPants; No problem. so, tell me a little about yourself?
PianoMan: I'm a diagnostician with a few specialisations, I'm 46, i love music, i play the guitar and the piano, i have a good poker face (or so i've been told, I tend to say inappropriate things at inappropriate times. what about you?
PartyPants: I'm an endocrydologist, I'm 42, I wanted to be a doctor since I was 12, i like cooking, i'm a vegetarian, I love coffee and clothes, especially shoes and i love my job. I'm a bit of a perfectionist.
PianoMan: interesting
PartyPants: what's interesting?
PianoMan: you said you had lots of paperwork, and you're an endocrydologist, was that your veiled way of telling me you are an important person in your hospital?
PartyPants: I suppose it was.
PianoMan: so how often do you come on this?
Partypants: too often, it gets addictive
PianoMan: i can tell
PianoMan: i have to go, speak to you another time.
Pianoman has logged off
PartyPants has logged off
Later that night, House sat his laptop on his coffee table and went online, hoping Cuddy would be there. She was.
PianoMan: Hello again. How was your paperwork?
PartyPants: Hello, it was fantastic, so much fun.
PianoMan: was that a sarcastic comment?
PartyPants: Was that a sarcastic comment?
PianoMan: good comeback, you're a quick thinker
PartyPants: it's from years of practice with my colleagues.
PianoMan: know the ones you mean, the cocky handsome ones that think the know everything.
PartyPants: you hit the nail on the head
They chatted for a while, getting to know each other more, but no names or places as that would give away who they were. This gave House a bit of a buzz as he knows it's Cuddy, but she has no idea that it is him. He was actually enjoying his 'evil plan' and he found himself coming out with some very witty lines that he had to remember for future use.
Cuddy found herself liking this PianoMan, he seemed genuine and he was about the only one on the chatroom that actually said exactly what they thought and didn't just agree with her to get her to meet them so she would sleep with them.
After a few weeks of talking on the chatroom and emailing each other, Cuddy thought that they should meet and as it was the hospitals 'Fall Ball' charity event/silent auction, she thought there would be as good a place as any as this way if he was an a$$ or was creepy or whatever she could say she had to mingle with donors and had work to do and so she could get away from him without being too rude. So when they were talking that night:
PartyPants: do you think we should meet?
(after a rather long wait, he replied)
PianoMan: yes, sure.
(oh sh*t, thought House, this can only go wrong)
PartyPants: If you don't want to then thats fine
(Cuddy was slightly upset by his pause before he answered)
PianoMan: No, no, i do, i just wasnt expecting you to ask.
PartyPants: ok, well, my hospital is having a charity event this weekend if you want to come? It starts at 7.
PianoMan: ok, which Hospital? how will i recognise you?
PartyPants: PPTH. Ask for Dr Cuddy
PianoMan: you're not far from me, so does Dr Cuddy have a first name?
PartyPants: Lisa
PianoMan: OK, Lisa, i will be there
PianoMan has logged off.
(That's weird, i don't even know his name, thought Cuddy)
PartyPants has logged off
When saturday came, Cuddy was very nervous and had to keep herself away from the computer for fear of chickening out and emailing him to cancel. It freaked her out that she didn't know his name, but she was going to meet him, so she would just find out then. Maybe we have met before and he doesn't want to tell me in case he knows i don't like him normally, or maybe he's actually really OLD, or maybe he's married and doesnt want me to find out? Her mind thought up more and more ideas and she had to shake her head to get rid of them. She laughed, i'm just being really silly, i will wait until i meet him before i jump to conclusions.
House was, for once in his life, actually very nervous, he was worried that Cuddy would not believe him and accuse him of spying on her, he was worried that she would laugh at him and pretend the whole thing hadn't happened. He didnt want her to reject PianoMan because he was House, he wanted her to accept that PianoMan was House and hopefully they could meet again, no longer as PianoMan and PartyPants, or House and Cuddy but as Greg and Lisa.
House limped into the part at 7.00pm on the dot, his stomach churning in anticipation. He was not the only one either, Cuddy had what she thought were the biggest butterflies in her tummy ever. She was scared that she wouldnt like PianoMan in person, or that he wouldn't show, or even worse: he would show and not even introduce himself because he took one look at her and left! She couldn't keep him off her mind and kept playing different scenarios out in her head, until the donors and benefactors began to arrive and then she had to keep on her toes so as to keep them keen on donating. It was when she was talking to a very prominent donor that she saw House: he was on time, sober and he looked very handsome in his tux, she had to admit. She was annoyed taht he was here already, as she didnt want him to find out about the chatroom and PainoMan as she would never let her live it down, and he would interupt her date and just plain annoy her. She could not be bothered dealing with him tonight.
House saw the look on her face as she saw him and decided that it was best to give her some time to mingle before tackling the situation, also he disnt quite know what to say (for once!). He went to the bar and got a coke, he didnt want to be drunk when he told her, knowing that she wouldnt believe him if he was.
It was a Silent Auction and Cuddy had been running from there to the donors, and then to the security desk to check if someone had been asking for her (PianoMan). She was a bit down hearted as he had yet to show up and she had expected him to be here sharpish as he had been the one to ask to meet. She sat down at the piano, which was a lot in the auction and traced her fingers over the keys, wishing that she knew how to play it when she heard someone come up behind her -
"Trying to make it make music with your death stare?" House snarked, and her face fell, she had thought it was going to be PianoMan.
"No, trying to make the jerk sneaking up on me disappear." She countered, and the wincing reaslising that it had been a bit harsh a comeback. House didnt like her eaction to him coming near her, it didnt not bode well for him when he told her he was PianoMan.
"Scooch over and i will show how it's done."
She stood up and gave him the seat.
"Ok, i get the point, I smell." He snarked back as he sat down. She smiled, knowing he couldnt see it as he was facing the piano.
House began to play, shutting his eyes to let his fingers flow freely over the keys, caressing them. Cuddy watched as House became engrossed in what he was playing: the lines on his face softened and he loked almost peaceful, and his long fingers caressed the keys gently, producing one of the most beautiful songs she had ever heard.
Once he was finished,she said:
"Well, that's bound to get more people bidding on this, it was a beautiful peice." she said before retreating to the bar.
House watched her as she walked away from him, wishing he oculd call her back and tell her the truth, but his throat was dry and he didnt have the words.
Cuddy sat down exhausted at a table when Wilson appeared at her side:
"What's the matter?" he probbed gently
"Nothing."
"You can't fool me. Want to talk about it?"
"No." she said, getting up and going back into the crowd.
Later on, House was parked at the bar, still on coke, still trying to find the words to say to Cuddy, perplexed at is own sudden word loss. Wilson was talking to a cute brunette when Cuddy came over, asking to talk to him. When they were alone, she spilled her guts to him: the chatroom, PianoMan and how he was supposed to meet her here.
"He's not coming!" She announced exasperatedly.
"He will, and if he doesnt i bet he has a water tight excuse." Wilson soothed.
"I bet he came, took one look at me and left."
"Not a chance." Wilson replied with certainty knowing that no man, young or old, would walk ou ton Cuddy tonight. She looked drop dead gorgeous in her purple dress with a low cut front that showed off her breasts (the twins as House called them) and the slight ruffles taht enhanced the curves of her body. "Calm down. I'll go and you a drink and then you can tak to me about anything to get your mind off of it."
Cuddy watched Wilson go to the bar, he always did know what to say, no wonder he was known as the 'Panty Peeler' she thought with a smile. She saw Wilson stand next to House and say something, and then House looked over at her, and she looked away to avoid his gaze, getting ready to kick Wilson's sorry a$$ if he had toldf House about her situation.
When Wilson came back with the drink, she took it greatfully, taking a gulp and then saying:
"You didnt tell House did you?"
"No. I know him well enough to know not to tell him anything like that. Give me some credit."
"Sorry." She smiled apologetically.
They talked about work and then Cuddy talked a bit more about PianoMan and Wilson saw the relief etched on her features as she got this off of her chest.
House watched Cuddy talk to Wilson and realised she was talking about PianoMan and the chatroom, and felt cheated, and then he remebered it was his fault she was talking about it as he couldnt find the words to tell her it was him.
Once the night was over, House tried to hang back and talk to Cuddy on her own but Wilson was staying pretty close to her, not letting her out of his sight, making sure she would talk to himagain. House felt a surge of jealously overwhelm him and he was surprized at just how jealous he felt, even though he knew Cuddy would not fall for a Panty Peeler like Wilson. Still, he wanted to be the one she was talking to; If only he could find the words. He was annoyed at his inability to do so as he always had a comeback, always had another comment to make, but now, when it mattered he had no idea of what to say. He went home when he realised that Wilson was not going anywhere, and so he would not get to talk to her alone.
After sitting at home flicking hrough the channels, House realised it didnt matter how eloquent he was, as loong as he told her he was PianoMan it didnt matter. It didnt matter how much of an a$$ he made of himself, as long as she knew the truth. He would put his pride aside for this one time so that he could tell her he was PianoMan, and hopefull in doing so tell her how he feels.
RING-RING-RING!
'UGH,thought Cuddy, leave me alone, who the hell would be at the door at this time?' She had only just got back from the party, and Wilson had dropped her off as he didnt want her driving as she had had a glass of wine, typical Wilson trying so hard to be nice and caring taht he ended up pissing her off because she knew she could have driven home fins, and so did he, but still he had insisted.
When she looked through the spyhole and saw House she shouted 'GO AWAY' through the door. He didnt move, and knocked this time. Cuddy siughed, he was not going to go away, but she didnt want to talk to him, the only reason he can be here,, she thought, is because Wilson told him about the chatrrom and PianoMan and he has too many good comments to wait until morning. He knocked again.
She grudgingly opened the door. "What do you want House?" she asked, not hiding her irritation.
"Can i talk to you?" He said, barging past her in true House fashion.
"Sure, sure, come on in." She said sarcastically.
" What do you want?" she reiterated.
"To talk to you." He said simply.
"And it's that importnat taht it couldnt wait until tomorrow?" He nodded."Your patient better be dying." He shook his head: No
"What the hell are you doing here for then? Why the hell do you feel then need to poke your nose into my life when you have NO RIGHT to be there?!" She was getting angry, letting out her bottled up feelings "What the hell makes you GOD, makes it ok for you to poke into other peoples livers and mess around with them, for FUN! What the hell are you doing here?" She exhaled slowly.
"I'm PianoMan." he said simply, and you could have heard a pin drop it was so quiet.
"What did you just say?" she whispered.
"I'm PianoMan." he repeated.
"Get out. Go. Now." she said pointing at the door, hating that he had once again found his way into her private life, and was messing with her for his own enjoyment, not believing for a second that what he said was true. "Out House, NOW!" she said, pointing at the door.
He opened his mouth to reply, to say something to make her believe him, but shut it again when he saw her face: she was not just mad, she was fuming. A part of him still realised that she was gorgeous mad, but he hung his head and walked towards the door.
Cuddy was relieved that he was leaving, and still raging that he had felt it was ok for him to stick his nose into her life once more. He toud-ched the door handle, and then spun around :
"I am telling the truth you know, PartyPants."
She opened her mouth in shock, was he really telling the truth or had he been on her computer again?
"If you don't believe me then you can check my computer tomorrow, but i thought it would be best i told you. I tried to tell you all night." He said softly, encouraged by the look in her eyes. "But you were just so annoyed at me and you were talking to Wilson forEVER and everytime i came within a foot of you you shoot some commment at me."
"Pretty much what you do to me everyday." She added in. "Why should I believe you when you have done so many underhanded things to me over the years?" she asked, looking into his amazing blue eyes, holding her breath, willing him to tell her what she wanted to hear, willing him to be telling the truth.
"Because...you know me better than anyone, because i wouldnt joke about this." He said looking into her beautiful eyes, hoping (he, Greg House, was actually so full of hope at that momnet hje thought he would explode) that she would know he was being honest. When she didnt say anything he turned to leave, knowing when he was defeated, the hope that had grown in him two seconds ago crushed by her lack of reaction.
"Where you ging Greg?" She asked softly, causing him to turn around with a look of surprise on his face. He walked towrds her, dropping his cane so that he could put his hands on her face. Her hands went to his neck, bringing his face to hers, and as their lips met, the hope that grew in both of their hearts was immense, more than either of them had known could exist.
For the emotionally cut-off criple, it was a high like he had never experienced and for the tough and sexy administrator it was a feeling of great joy.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself first. No offense to hamerons, but i have always been a outright HUDDY fan.So I am obviously bouncing off the walls. When this seaseon starts, I feel like everyone has kind of abandoned House. I mean I get the whole pain in the a$$ thing but still. Wilson is the one that fixes everthing and for him to basically laugh at him when he apologizes is cruel. THe bright light at the end of the tunnel is Cuddy is going to do whatever it takes to make House happy above anyone else.
SO GO CUDDY!
SO GO CUDDY!
