One of my own personal favorite moments on House is when he impulsively grabs his jacket, limps out to his motorcycle and drives to Cuddy’s House. He hobbles up the walk way and then stops when he catches sight of her in the window. She sits quietly on the couch reading through some papers and sipping a cup of what I can only assume is tea. The expression on his face is one which always seems fresh in my mind. A look of desire, longing, awe and finally self doubt crosses his face. You see in his eyes that he believes she is something he doesn’t deserve. It was at that moment that I wanted him to finish his walk to the door, but when he turned around and left I knew this was going to continue to be an even longer “trip” than I could have imagined. That is the scene I go back to over and over again when I think about why this is my favorite TV show. The acting done without words, the writing, lighting, direction… much is said with the words of a song playing simply in the background.
The scene left me thinking. What was he thinking on the drive there? Why did his plan change when once he reached her house. What would have happened if he had gone to the door?
Maybe it is all of the unknowns that keep me coming back for more. What is with that desk anyway? I think it isn’t just the questions but the hope for the answers that keeps me watching. The medical questions and puzzles, the personal pains and joys keep me coming back time and again. The insanely beautiful hit and mostly miss love that never completely connects between House and Cuddy is every bit of the deluxe topping on the best sundae ever.
So maybe I will watch week after week until the last script is written and the final episode played and maybe House and Cuddy miss every pass along the way and it doesn’t end the way I want, it is really over? My favorite part of House isn’t just the arrival at Cuddy’s house and my disappointment over him turning around and leaving it’s the drive and all of the questions along the way. I will never spend one minute of regret over the time spent watching the show that gives me so many unanswered questions. As my sister put it last week when Cameron left, “it isn’t an “easy” show to watch and maybe that is why I like it so much”.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself first. No offense to hamerons, but i have always been a outright HUDDY fan.So I am obviously bouncing off the walls. When this seaseon starts, I feel like everyone has kind of abandoned House. I mean I get the whole pain in the a$$ thing but still. Wilson is the one that fixes everthing and for him to basically laugh at him when he apologizes is cruel. THe bright light at the end of the tunnel is Cuddy is going to do whatever it takes to make House happy above anyone else.
SO GO CUDDY!
SO GO CUDDY!
I couldn't sleep and I had a gush of inspiration hit me and so I decided to make a Huddy poem :)
Dedicated to the awesome that is you,the Huddys ^^
Enjoy!
A lover from afar,
Isn't really a lover at all.
If she truly loves him,
And he truly lovers her.
Aren't they lovers at all?
They were once lovers.
Deeply passionate lovers.
But those days have come,
And those times have gone
But they both hadn't moved on.
She had gone through many
Lusters and not one lover.
She had thought about him
And that made the lusters
Turn into dust.
He had gone through a another lover,
But she wasn't like her.
As he thought about her,he
Began to love she more.
But she moved on to another.
A lover from afar,is
Truly a lover at all.As thoughts
Become actions,and actions,
Became thoughts.
He and her are indeed,
Lovers from afar.
Tell me what you think :)
