Asgard
Vidar (god of the forest), Hiccup, Merida, Toothless, Jack Frost, Rupunzel and Flynn waked down the docks of Asgard, the water was gold and the ships the form of ships that Hiccup and Merida recognised from Berk and Dubrouch but were twice the size, the whole team- except Vidar- were shocked by there appearance.
"We'll take one of these ships to Berk" said Vidar
"How exactly are we suppose to be able to crew this?" said Jack
"We're not" said Vidar "these a crew of thirty of the finest Warriors of Asgard"
"Wow" said Hiccup, his shield was tightly around the wrist of his left arm, he looked over to Merida, who seemed to be looking back, he had a hard time talking to girls and he didn't want her to think he was weird.
"Right so when are we heading out?" Asked Rupunzel
"Right now" said Vidar as he begun to walk towards one of the ships, the others followed.
Asgardian Sea
The Asgardian Sea was beautiful, the warmth made Jacks skin feel warm for the first time in three hundred years and it felt good, he turned to Hiccup who had his shield- now in crossbow mode- aimed at a target with Merida at his side with her now and arrows, they were doing target practise, Merida was getting the middle every time whist Hiccup was about halfway between the outer edge of the target and the centre but Jack heard the two laugh as they talked to each other, then Jack turned to Rupunzel and Flynn, they stood at the front of the ship, it reminded him of a movie he saw once about two lovers on an iron ship, he couldn't remember the movie but that's what they remained him of.
Vidar tapped Jacks shoulder and he turned to him "Jack" said Vidar "to accomplish this mission, you need to be seen by mortals so we made this" Vidar then held out a silver gauntlet with a blue, egg shaped gem in the centre pointing to the right,
Jack hesitated for a moment but took it and placed it around his wrist
"Now turn the gem so that the point is facing away from you" Jack did so and felt different, like someone had walked through him "now anyone can see you, even if they don't believe in you"
"Wow" said Jack
"Indeed wow"
Hiccup pulled the on his shield/crossbow and hit the edge of the centre "your getting better" said Merida as she aimed and fired another arrow of the centre of the target
"How long have you been doing archery then!" Said Hiccup
"Since I was five" said Merida
"Wow" said Hiccup surprised "your one badass princesses"
"Thanks, your pretty badass as well... You know for going against your whole tribe and make friends with a dragon"
"Thanks, you know when we get to Berk, do you fancy a ride?"
"Yeah, ok sound cool"
"Great"
Flynn felt like he could stay this way forever, the golden sun in his face, his wife in his arms and the golden water of the Asgardian Sea occasionally spraying into his face
"Flynn" said Rupunzel
"Yeah" said Flynn
"I'm scared, about this whole Shadow thing"
"Well, do you want to know something?"
Rupunzel turned to Flynn, her recently restored golden hair lay in a bun behind her, she looked him in the eyes and said "what?"
"I'm scared too"
Something caught Jacks eye, the water was changing colour, he looked around and saw that the others had noticed this as well, the water had turned from gold to blue, then an island came into view and Vidar's voice ran through the air
"land ho" the team than ran to the main area of the ship and Vidar joined them "well reach Berk within two hours, Jack I want you to put as much wind behind thoughts sail as possible"
"Right" said Jack
Hiccup I want Toothless to fire a plasma blast to the air, let them know your with us"
"I'm on it" said Hiccup
"And the rest, prepare any equipment you need, we need to get that Earth Key before Loki and the Nightmare Child"
"Right" said Merida, Rupunzel and Flynn at he same time and they all dispersed to do their assigned jobs.
Berk- 1013
The Asgard Ship arrived at Berk, the people were amazed by the size of it, they saw the team leave and all eyes drifted to Hiccup
"Hiccup" said Stoick "where have you been?"
"Asgard dad" said Hiccup "I was summoned by Asgard"
"He's right" said Vidar "for I'm Vidar- god of the forest" at that point everyone froze until Stoick said "and what is the point of Asgard my son?"
"The Nine Realms are being threatened by Loki and a being called the Nightmare Child" said Vidar "we need to find a key, one of which is on Berk"
"Dad" said Hiccup "they need my help"
"Fine" said Stoick "but if anyone gets hurt in the crossfire, your all banished from Berk, even you Hiccup"
"Oh great(!)" said Jack "so any idea on where to start?"
"I suggest to caves" said Hiccup "these hundreds of them under Berk, it's a good place to start"
"I agree" said Merida
"Fine" said Vidar "we head now" he turned to the Warriors on the ship "men, if you are attacked by any force, be sure to defend yourselves and this island with your life! FOR ASGARD!"
"FOR ASGARD!" Came the roar that was the reply
The cave
The team had been searching for over an hour now and had founded nothing, they had also been conversing for the duration of that time and were now showing the signs of a great friendship.
"And that my friends" said Merida "is why you should never give a witches cake to your mum", everyone begun to laugh loudly
"Oh, and I thought I had a tough mother" said Rupunzel
"But I'll bet that none of your parents could match my dad before the peace in terms of strictness" said Hiccup on the back of Toothless
"Oh" said Flynn "do explain"
"Well" said Hiccup "my dad saw me as an embarrassment, whenever we made eye contact he looked like someone had skimmed the meat off his sandwich" he then did the impression of his farther about the talking fish bone and everyone begun to howl with laughter
"Sorry" said Vidar "but that was a brilliant impression"
"Thanks" said Hiccup, they then stopped when they saw a bright light coming from around the corner, they all quickly ran to it Merida placing an arrow into her bow, Jack readying his staff and Hiccup readying his shield
When they got to the light, they saw that it was the Key, about the size of a arrow head and had an image of a dragon on it, then the team saw two figures reaching for it
"Loki" said Vidar "Nightmare Child step back, the Shadow is too powerful, if will consume all life"
"That's what we plan to happen" said Loki, he had the appearance of a twenty year old man, the Nightmare Child kept her face away for the team but she only said "and what do you plan to do with the Key?"
"Destroy them" said Jack
"Ah, the boy who almost killed my farther" she turned, still kept her face concealed by her hood as she threw shadows a he team, Hiccup used his shield, Jack created a barrier out of ice and Vidar created a barrier out of tree roots, the shadows hit all three and split the roots and ice apart, but didn't damage the shield, the destruction of the ice and roots sent the team flying
"And I don't like Nightmare Child" said the Nightmare Child "I much prefer..." she lowered her hood to reveal her identity, Hiccups heart sank
"... Astrid"
"A... Astrid?" Said Hiccup
"That's right Hiccup, I've been this way since the day I meet Toothless and I've enjoyed it every second"
Hiccup turned to Vidar "you knew didn't you?"
"I swear on my farther, I didn't know" said Vidar
Astrid turned to Merida and said "you, you killed my pet"
"What?" Said Merida
"Mor'du" said Astrid "my pet was Mor'du"
"Oh, I thought you'd hate me for another reason"
"Oh I don't hate you for having a crush on Hiccup, I never loved him"
"Ok" said Jack "you've just earned an Arctic Experience" he then sent a wave of ice towards Astrid, Loki than sent a stream of fire towards the wave, melting the ice
"Oh shi..." Said Jack but got cut short by a wave of shadows, Rupunzel then pulled a bit of her hair and it fell out of its bun, she sent locks of her glowing hair towards the shadows like a whip, this proved very effective against the shadows, Flynn noticed Astrid and Loki taking the Key and running into the shadows he turned to Hiccup and Toothless "hey Viking,Fury; Astrid and Loki are getting away"
"We're on it" said Hiccup, he jumped onto Toothless, Merida also jumped onto Toothless and they flew down the tunnel.
Jack, Vidar, Flynn and Rupunzel were left in the room, they noticed that they were gone and ran after them.
