How I Met Your Mother Question

Does anyone know why they pushed back so many episodes and wont be back till March 2009?

I know we saw the Stinsons..but that will make us have to wait longer for a new episode now :S
well..we get the same epis in the same amount of time it just FEELS longer..(er..that's what she said)
i tried searching online but does anyone know the actual reason?

I don't know the reason but I find that some shows will go dark in February and try to stack a good number of new episodes together for the April-May (which gets them through sweeps). Probably not a helpful response, but this is not especially unusual in my opinion.

but it's proberly because there is something more important that HIMYM, not that likely i know, but due to this they've spread out episodes to fit in all tv shows.
i know other shows who are also CBS have gone a bit funny with their schedules.
