I HOPE it is misleading. BTW, maybe House is trying to trick Wilson by saying he as a son and Wilson is making a joke to House's team by saying he might be dying?

^Those would be some really harsh jokes. I could see House possibly playing a prank like that on Wilson, but Wilson wouldn't randomly go around telling people that his BFF was dying as a joke.
