I think he may be infatuated with her, but that's not the same as loving her/being in love with her.

Definately emotional. He has connected with her recently and a very deep level. I think the physical stuff just comes with the territory!

He seems to be connected to her emotionally in the sense that he wants to 'save' her and 'fix' her. I don't think he's in love with her (yet?) though.

I agree with mrshouse- seems more like infatuation to me.
It may be like the situation he had with the nurse awhile ago, where he just wants to help her, and doesn't really like her all that much.
