I remember being a little surprised at her reaction. I would have just answered with a simple "yes" or "no"...or even "I'd rather not talk about it" would have sufficed in my opinion. House is a curious guy (everyone knows that) and I don't really think that warranted a "You can be a real bastard."

I disagree. :)
I thought that it was really obvious that she was not comfortable at all with the the nature of the questions he was asking her and he should have let it drop after he noticed this (which he obviously did, seeing how he notices EVERYTHING). But instead he kept on asking and asking and i can see why Cameron would have responded in that manner.

she knew he was gonna find out, and even if she didnt wanna talk about it, she didnt have to get snippy at him, she could have just walked away or told him it was too personal for her to share. she didnt have to call him a bastard.

Just because House does it all of the time and we expect that sort of action from him, doesn't make it right or acceptable.
He was getting far too personal and really probing into something incredibly sensitive for Cameron.
I think she might have reacted strongly to his probing, but come on I think she had a right to.

I think Cameron is always so overly sensitive about stuff like this. A simple "yes" or "no" would have been just fine.
