Ever since the infarction, Cuddy has been fighting for House. When House gets shot, it stirs up memories of the infarction, and a lot of fears within her that she almost lost House a second time.
At the end of the day, House and Cuddy both lie in their beds, reflecting about the day, unable to fall asleep.
