I have a pick related to this. Go answer it!

This is an article I posted on another site just after the showing of Joy. I apologize that I do kinda ramble in this one, but it's my first real article examining something like this.

"I have decided one of the main things I want to see in this series is I want House to be happy. Some would argue that a happy House wouldn't be as sarcastic or rude and would take away from the character. I can see where this could be an argument, but I think a happier House would still be just as sarcastic and socially awkward as an unhappy House.

At the end of season four, when House is on the "heavenly bus" with Amber, there is (what I feel) a very important conversation that brings up a few things that deserve some speculation and further exploration. House expresses his feeling that "lonely, misanthropic drug addicts should die in bus crashes" and not people like Amber, who are happy and in love. This obviously indicates some feelings of guilt that House has and in my opinion, shows that he doesn't feel like he deserves to continue to live an unhappy life. House indicates that he wants to stay on the bus with Amber, which we can deduce would mean House dies. Amber insists that he gets off the bus, returning to life.

When Amber asks why House doesn't want to get off the bus, he says "because it doesn't hurt here. I let it... I don't wanna be in pain. I don't wanna be miserable." This has been one of the most powerful lines from House in the whole series, as far as I'm concerned. Of course nobody WANTS to be miserable, but a recurring theme throughout the series is House's self-induced misery and how he doesn't seem keen on changing that. The verbal admittance that he does not want to be miserable kind of has me hopeful that we will see a few changes in House in the fifth season as a character.

And then there's one last point we are left with at the end of season four. House has (yet) another near-death experience, and has the point where he can choose life or death. Despite being miserable and not wanting to be in physical pain anymore, House (once again) chooses to continue living. I don't know about anyone else, but if I was utterly miserable and had no intention or desire to change that, when given a choice between life and death, I would choose death.

Now I don't want a fuzzy, warm House (that really would ruin the character), but I think a few key things have already happened this season that show maybe a desire to improve life for House, and I would love for that to happen.

House makes himself vulnerable when it comes to trying to get Wilson to stay at the beginning of this season, something we don't see often from House. Though House always seems to drive people away and almost always chooses to be alone, this appeal to Wilson shows that House wants to keep this friendship intact and not lose one of the few human connections he actually has in his life. Seems like House isn't as willing to be completely alone as alot of people seem to think.

Another thing that I think shows a desire to make or hold on to connections with other people is House's reaction to Cuddy's adoption approval. At the end of Lucky Thirteen, when Cuddy tells House she's been approved for adoption, he is visibly hurt. In an interview I've read with Lisa Edelstein (you can find the link on Fox's House page), she mentions House is jealous at the thought of Cuddy having a child because it would mean her attention would be divided. According to Edelstein, "I don't think House wants the competition of another baby in Cuddy's life. He's hers, already." It's always been obvious that there's something different about House and Cuddy's relationship versus House's relationships with everyone else, but this is another moment where we see some actual emotion from House, something we haven't seen a whole lot of in previous seasons. His desire to hold Cuddy's full attention, to me, indicates a need to feel taken care of (let's be honest...Cuddy's always looking out for House and vice versa, and she was there holding his hand at the end of season 4) and another example of House's desire to atleast maintain a personal connection with someone. Actually WANTING to keep personal connections with other characters is not something that has been made blatantly obvious in previous seasons, so I feel like the two examples above are pretty significant.

Another thing I feel deserves to be mentioned is what happens at the end of Joy. Yes, I was one of the many Huddy fans that nearly peed herself with excitement when the now infamous kiss finally happened, but there are a couple of other points that need to be examined here. One thing that is atleast mentioned in the promo for Itch is that House didn't take advantage of Cuddy in her moment of vulnerability after losing the adoption. I plan on posting a blog about Huddy eventually, so this will be explored in more detail there, but normally House is just like any other guy trying to get laid. This time, however, he stops at a kiss. Part of this I think is because House seemed surprised that he actually kissed her (just look at his expression immediately following the kiss), and another part is he doesn't want to damage the relationship he already has with Cuddy. There is consideration for another person's feelings, yet another rare occurance from House. I'm a Huddy fan, and I think at this point, if a romantic relationship is possible between anyone and House, Cuddy is that person (note I said "at this point"...things change).

I realize I've started rambling and I feel like I haven't communicated my points quite as fully as I would like to, but hopefully this entry will atleast put a notion in your mind that'll lead you to make your own conclusions about where House is heading. My bottom line is, I want to see House happy. He is my absolute favorite character on the show, and although he is callous and generally unemotional (atleast visibly), I want him to end up in a successful romantic relationship with someone. It's pretty obvious that he was happy with Stacy, and I would love to see him find that kind of happiness again. I would also love it if there were some kind of medical breakthrough made that would help the condition of his leg because I think the poor guy needs to catch a break, but I'm doubtful of that happening.

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thought about what I've discussed."

House entered silently the room of Ian. It’s been three days since he decided to transfer his son to Princeton Plainsboro yet kidney donors failed to match Ian’s blood type and the transplant list was full of patient names that were desperate to have a kidney too. Ian’s condition was getting worse as the days go by. He was on dialysis and IV fluids were added on. Cuddy was seated, while holding her son’s hand, on the chair next to the bed. House sat on the edge of the bed and learned that his old and new team with Wilson were there visiting his son.
House: <To the team> thank you...

[House staggers into Wilson's office. He limped all the way to his couch to lay down. Wilson knows he's there but doesn't bother to look up from his paperwork]

Wilson: Avoiding Cuddy, again?

House: No, I just love hiding out in your office.

Wilson: She'll turn up, eventually, and then you will have to see her.

House: Not if I know where to hide. After here I go to the clinic, because she's supposed to go check on the team today. And when she sees that I'm not there she will go look for me and that's when I go back to my office and wait for my teams arrival with the results of an MRI scan.

Wilson...

AN:So this is a bit shorter than the other one, and I hope it got good too, It is more focused on Cameron tough.

Foreman walked in the ER, it was a very calm day, there were just a few patients with minor injuries. He spotted Cameron taking care of a 4-year-old girl that had a cut on her arm, he waited still she was finished and approached her:

“Hey Cameron”

“Heey, Foreman, uhmm, what are you doing here?” She asked clearly surprised with his presence.

“I need to talk to you about a patient and about House” He answered with a little pause between the patient part and the House part,...

It's high time House was recognized for Emmys
Okay. This article is all about the Emmys and House. As you all know, this season's finale was especially emotional and fabulously-acted, and we would all be surprised if at least one actor/actress from our favorite show, House MD, wasn't nominated.
In today's (Friday, June 14, 2008) edition of USA Today, there was a ballot sheet of who they thought would be nominated for the prestigious television award. Included below are the nominees as chosen by USA Today and the newspaper's comments.

Best drama: House was not included in this list, the reason being this season was "too erratic".
Best lead...

House stood up from his bed looking straight outside his room. He happened to see a familiar image that was staring at him while standing a few walks away from where he was. He hurriedly walked towards it but the glass wall didn’t let him go outside so he ended up banging the thick glass in front of him.
House: Cuddy! --- Hey I’m here! ---- Cuddy!
Indeed it was Cuddy but she turned and walked out of the place. House was surprised to realize that it was another stupid hallucination. There was actually no Cuddy outside. House’s brain, and maybe heart as well, wanted her to be there so his...

"I'm so tired of all the pain." He said as he laid his head against the couch cushion and closed his eyes. Cuddy grasped his hand with hers.
"The medicine Wilson gave you can cause intense migraines and nausea, but it will help with the hallucinations. We just need to get over the first hump and..."
House suddenly bent forward and vomited into the bucket near his feet. Cuddy rubbed his back gently. She pulled a tissue from her pocket and wiped his mouth.
"I haven't slept in days. When is this medicine gonna turn on the snooze?"
Cuddy put a hand to his forehead checking his temperature....

That same afternoon, Wilson didn’t bother to bury himself on self-destruction. He had set his mind to move on and accept what House might have decided on what to do with their screwed up friendship. He’s not doing it because he doesn’t care on what his friend felt but he’s doing this to re-direct himself and try to be normal as what had been used to. He had lost Cuddy’s trust the other day and now, his only relationship that is existing is obviously at stake, well, at least that’s what he thinks it is.
Instead of heading home, he drove out to work, put on his lab coat and move like...

"Shhh. It's okay little one." Lisa Cuddy whispered softly to her baby daughter.
"He looked so lost, Lise." James Wilson said as he sat down in the rocking chair near the crib.
Cuddy put Rachael in her crib and walked to sit next to Wilson in the other rocking chair.
"Why didn't you tell me he had been hallucinating?" She asked.
"I thought it had ended. He thought it had ended. Apparently we were both wrong..."
"He wouldn't tell me what he thought happened, but I have a feeling you know."
Wilson took in a breath and stood up.
"He thought you helped him detox."
"And?"
"He thought things had changed...

After Ian’s near death experience, his parents became more protective of him. Almost all things were supposed to be with their knowledge before their son take up something especially if his life would be hang in balance.
House and Cuddy, with Ian, now eight, decided to spend their spring vacation back in Michigan. House’s mother also came over in Lisa’s hometown and agreed to spend time with her grandson. This also gave her the chance to bond with her son’s mother in law.
One afternoon while House and his son were playing in the garden, Lisa with her mom and mother in law were preparing...
