We know that the internship of House's team is 3 years.
That means goodbye Thirteen and Taub at the end of season 6.
Let's imagine they leave, Foreman and Chase stay.
What will House do next? Hire someone else? Get them back? Leave? Have a threesome with Chase and Foreman?

-1 year into the future-
Thirteen and Taub were forced to leave Diagnostics. Thirteen didn’t go very far; she decided to take a job in the ER with Cameron. Yes, that’s right, Cameron came back once again. It seems she could never leave for long. Taub, on the other hand, left completely after his heart was broken by Chase.
Chase and Foreman are still working for House. Not long before Thirteen and Taub left, Chase confessed his love for Foreman. And the creation of the strangest couple Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital has ever seen was born.
House is doing fine, still the same asshole he has always been. He is still trying his damnedest to break Wilson and Sam up. And, of course, still making every one’s life a living hell.

House would be all happy because he would not have to be standing the I'm-constantly-cheating-on-my-wife guy and he would be sad because Super-hot-bisexual girl would leave. Then again he would be sad because I-like-to-grow-your-ego-by-saying-things-like-you-are-a-genius guy would not be there to make everything he wants him to do (like buying donuts =) ) and he would be happy because I-don't-want-to-live-anymore-because-I-have-Huntington's girl would not be around him, trying to kill herself in hostage situations.
So House is in a paradox here, they both have good qualities but bad at the same time, but even if their qualities pleased, he wouldn't be happy because we all know House is miserable. But then again he told Dr. Nolan he wanted to be happy so... Yeah, I got lost. House should just go play his guitar and steal Wilson's lunch. That'll be enough for him.

He quit. He finally quit. He walked out on her, and the hospital. A huge weight that had been there ever since they met, lifted off of her chest. She was free of his critisism, his sarcastic comments, of him. She realized she could do better and that it was time to move on.
