"Where were you last night?" Wilson asked his best friend as they sat on the ugly orange couch. House took a sip of soda and leaned back.
"You don't want to know."
"Funny, I thought I did." Wilson said as he took the remote from House's hand and turned to ESPN.
"I needed some privacy... and I got it." House answered vaguely.
Wilson rolled his eyes and turned to his friend.
"A hooker? I thought you were done with all of that?"
House sighed in frustration.
"God, just because you refuse to get laid doesn't mean I have to."
"House, I'm not sure this is good for you..."
"I needed sex. I went to a motel and called for an escort. You should be happy that I was considerate enough not to bring her here."
"What about Cuddy?" Wilson suddenly asked.
"She's with Lucas. She's happy and done with me. But that doesn't mean I'm going to continue pining. I'm tired of pining. I've done enough to last me three lifetimes... Anyway, Nolan said that I may relapse with the hookers...I am an addict." House stated with an annoyed eye roll.
"How was it?"
House turned to his friend in shock.
"What?"
"Was it as good as before or better? I have a feeling it wasn't very good at all."
House sighed and stood up leaning on his cane.
"I don't need a lecture."
"You don't need it but you're getting one. House, I know you're hurting over losing Cuddy but that doesn't mean you have to have meaningless sex to compensate... You will find someone who wants you just as much as you want them and the sex will be a lot better than what you had last night."
"I doubt it. Shayla really knew how to push all my buttons." He said with a smirk. Wilson threw his hands up in surrender.
"Fine. Don't listen to me. I just think in the end you'll be better off trying to meet someone new than paying for a happy ending."
"You talk about meeting someone to fall for as if it happens everyday."
"Maybe it does and your so full of self-pity that you are not open to the opportunity... Come with me to speed dating tomorrow night..."
"Ick. That's sounds as fun as an enema."
"You may meet the next great love of your life or at least a pretty woman who isn't turned off by your dirty jokes."
House twitched his mouth and then nodded.
"Okay. But if this doesn't work out I get to keep the orange couch and you have to stop complaining about it."
"Deal." Wilson said with a smile.
"You know, I am not a Prince Charming. The odds of tomorrow night being remotely successful are slim to none. I will be keeping this couch in the end."
"So you say."
"Why are you so optimistic?"
"Because one of us needs to be."
"You don't want to know."
