That evening, House went out in a bowling alley with Wilson, Foreman and Chase but he didn’t play. Still, he was looking depressed and problematic as his friends played one by one.
Foreman: God, you’re an idiot, House.
Chase: Cuddy shouldn’t know that.
Foreman: She should.
Chase: Are you an idiot? Letting her know would put her and the baby at risk.
Foreman: But keeping it would put the marriage at a funeral wake.
House: It already is. <Drink a glass of beer>
Wilson: Are you and Brenda still together?
House: I’m planning to break up. I just don’t know which of the two will I cut short.
Chase: You mean you’re actually thinking of staying with Brenda?
Foreman: Are you serious?! Cuddy won’t let you out of her doorway alive with that.
Wilson: What happened to I-love-my-wife thing? You think it will be better off since you have someone new?
House: I don’t know what’s with me, okay? I’m… I’m confuse ---
Foreman: You’re not confuse House. You know what you wanted. You know what and who you love ---

It was midnight when Cuddy happened to woke up and noticed House wasn’t beside her. She sat down and saw him standing on their room deck looking outside. She hugged him from behind and moved in front of him.
Cuddy: Are you okay? <House nodded> why aren’t you sleeping? It’s midnight.
House: <his voice was plain> I couldn’t sleep.
Cuddy: Got a problem? What happened? A patient? At work? <House shook his head> Oh, stop it, I don’t want to see you like that <she hugged him and it took him quite a short time to put his hand on her hair and his other arm around her then he closed his eyes>.
The next day, House was standing in his office while looking outside. The door suddenly swung open and Brenda came in and walked to kiss him but he didn’t respond but he did looked at her. She was standing surprised in front of him. They were silent for quite a while before House finally told Brenda that he wanted to cut the affair they’re having. At first, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing but then House was adamant about his decision that he isn’t leaving his wife and kids. Before leaving the office in full tears, Brenda moved closer to House to kiss him for the last time.
That evening, Cuddy was busy keeping the toys Rachel scattered that afternoon. House was standing behind her and was about to break the news.
House: Lisa…
Cuddy: Have you eaten your dinner? It’s there on the table. Just wait a minute and I’ll be with you.
House: I have to tell you something…
Cuddy: Just hold on…
House: <took a breath> I had an affair <Cuddy stopped, dropped the toys and faced her husband> with Brenda. We started when you were three months pregnant. The feeling just came along and it ended that way <the room as silent and tears started to fall from Cuddy’s eyes as she breath slowly then she slowly sat down on the couch feeling vulnerable but showing she could do it as she placed her hands on her forehead while looking at the floor>.
Cuddy: So you were cheating on me? --- I was thinking were going okay but you’re sleeping around?
House: Lisa --- <he moved to kneel in front of his weeping wife> I did the stupidest mistake of my life and for that I’m so sorry <by here, he’s also crying> I ended it up this morning and that is because I love you and I love our children. I would give up anything just to make this marriage work.
Cuddy: It took you several months before you knew you wanted this marriage to work? Greg, as much as I want to believe you, it couldn’t patch up the pain I have right now.
House: Just give me another chance to make it up to you. I wouldn’t mess around. I would change.
Cuddy: <she looked at him and saw full tears coming out of his blue eyes> I want my kids to grow with a father by their side <she stood and he did as well but she wasn’t facing him as she held her belly> but Greg, I don’t even know where to place my pain… <she finally looked at House and took a deep breath> I think I need time alone with my kids…
House nodded and moved closer to Cuddy then he gave her a kiss on the forehead as she wept. He slowly took his hands on her head and their forehead touched each other. Cuddy cried some more as she was tightly held by House. He got his clothes out of the closet and packed them in a bag as he sobs. Cuddy was in the living room when he was about to leave. They looked at each other then Rachel who’s crying ran to House.
Rachel: <also crying> Papa!
House: <kneeling while hugging Rachel> you’ll be fine. Just be a good girl and a sister, okay? It’s gonna be fine <he kissed Rachel then looked at Cuddy before passing through the door>
By next month, Cuddy was asleep while lying on a hospital bed in PPTH. House was standing just staring at her. He moved to kissed her on the forehead and she was awaken and he moved back. Cuddy looked at him.
Cuddy: Hey…
House: Hey, you okay?
Cuddy: Quite a bit. Have you seen your boy?
House: It’s a boy?! <Cuddy smiled> Not yet. I decided to drop by you first.
The door opened and Cameron was carrying the baby at her arms. House and Cuddy looked at her. She gave the baby to the mother who’s now seated on the bed as the father tried to catch a glance at his kid.
Cameron: I’ll be back in an hour to get him from you. <She left the room>
Cuddy: Hey baby… Mommy’s here… <House was looking at the baby too> He got almost all his features from you…
House: Yah seems to me <he looked at Cuddy and the baby> Lisa -- <Cuddy looked at him> I ---
Cuddy: Ssshhh, I know what you’re about to say… You’re forgiven… Whatever I say or do, it won’t change anything that had happened so just climb in here and be a father ---- and be a husband again. <House smiled and sat beside Cuddy who’s about to hand him the baby> Slowly, you don’t want to drop him, do you?
House: Of course not <finally the baby’s in House’s arm and the baby cooed> Don’t worry it’s daddy… <Cuddy looked at him and smiled, she moved closer to House and placed her hands on his shoulder and he looked at her> Lisa --- <Cuddy looked at him> I love you and I say that with all the love in the world.
Cuddy: <she smiled> I love you and I miss you so much
House moved his face and his lips captured Cuddy’s. They both smiled after their short kiss and looked at the baby they have right now.

Okay, hi, my name is obviously Lena. I have been writting a fanfic for two years now. It is a House fanfic, but it is very depressing and people die. Lot's of people. Also since we don't have lot of background stories on some of the characters I made some up that are probably really far off, but interesting and they serve to make a point. In the beginning the characters are a lot younger. Cuddy is 18. I know, no one could ever be a dean at 18, but the story covers a span of 33 years so I had to make them young.
