House M.D. Question

OK, dumb question: If you know to make make fan videos, from where, and how, do you get the clips? Do you get the whole episode and edit it on your program, or what?

I'm not sure yet whether I can do it from my computer, but I'd like to give it shot. :)

Ok, well, I hope you trust me because I make a lot of vids (aleramp88 on YT). As far as I know, there are some ways to get the clips: you can extract the .vob files form the VIDEO_TS file n your dvds and convert them in mp4 (if you don't do this, a single episode will be approximatively 1Gb). OR you can DL them (remember, it's illegal ;)).
BUT you will have the entire episode, by the way.
What you have to do then is importing it into your editing software and search the scenes you want to cut to put them in your video. It takes pretty much time and patience, but you'll be proud of what you've managed to do, believe me. :)
After that, you do the same with every other clip you want to put in your video and when you have them all, you can put them together with the music and the other stuff like transitions and video fx.
I really don't know if there's a place where you can DL the clips from, but even if there was, I'd rather cut them myself, because not every clip you want is surely available. But if you don't have the dvds neither the dlded files, well, maybe you can dl the extraits from YT -Sneak peaks, I mean, or videos which contain parts of the episode, in general...A lot of people upload such things on YT, you can search. –
Hope my answer will be useful for you. Check my works if you want, I'll be glad. :)
