Wait, don't run away yet...it's not depressing this time. Honest!
Enjoy! =D

We Walk – The Ting Tings
You never alter
You’re always you
Everything’s breaking
But I don’t care
He stood in front of her desk, staring down into her blue grey eyes, almost challenging her.
She couldn’t decide whether his stubborn gaze was an admirable trait or annoying trait.
On second thoughts, it’s more of the latter.
She smiled to herself but it didn’t go unnoticed by him; she asked him again.
‘Well?’
‘I’ll never change; I can’t make you happy...walk away while you still have the chance’
He began to walk away himself; lucky for her he was quite a slow walker so she could get up and reach him in no time.
‘But I don’t care. We walk together.’
That’s all she needed to say.
II.
Thinking of You – Katy Perry
You’re like an Indian summer
In the middle of winter
She sat there cuddled up with her new man and her baby in front of the fireplace.
Picture perfect.
But only from the outside.
Inside her heart was beating for someone else.
Someone else she couldn’t stop thinking about.
Someone who, despite all his faults, was the one she truly loved.
She took her baby and left her perfect man and her perfect life behind.
The man she loved was far from perfect on paper, but he was to her.
III.
Good Vibrations – The Beach Boys
I, I love the colourful clothes she wears
And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair
I hear the sound of a gentle word
On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air
He stood there gawping at her like an idiot; his mouth imitating a goldfish.
He was completely transfixed by her; her beauty, her laugh, her attitude.
He never really liked his name until she spoke it in the gentlest manner, yet with a hint of teasing in her voice; now he felt he had the luckiest name in the world to be called upon in such a way.
There was never a dull moment when she was around him; never a reason to leave and go home.
She wore her colours well.
And he never felt more in love than he did at that moment.
He picked up a good feeling from her.
IV.
Stolen – Dashboard Confessional
Clear liquor and cloudy eyed
Too early to say goodnight
He had taken a day off without realising he would be missed, however much he wished that she would miss him.
He could never have expected her to come knocking on his door with a bottle of wine and a Chinese takeaway; a perfect mixture of elegance and comfort.
He never gazes at stars through the night; he wasn’t a sap.
But tonight he was; when he was with her.
He was captivated by her.
He was doing things that he would never have even dreamed of doing before.
And all because of her.
And this he realised as they stayed awake throughout the night; the stars the only light reflecting in their eyes; a glass of wine in each hand; snuggled warm under a blanket.
This wasn’t him.
But he didn’t care.
She had stolen his heart.
V.
You Picked Me – A Fine Frenzy
Like an apple on a tree
Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me
Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty thing
It was difficult to see
But you picked me
She always thought she could hide away in the background like every other woman.
She always thought she was just another member of the opposite sex standing in the crowd to him.
But she was proved so very wrong.
He picked her.
She stood out amongst those other women in his eyes.
She never thought he would choose her; but he picked her.
She was astounded by him when he did; when he picked her.
She could never have been happier than that day he picked her.
Again, I'll let you fill in the characters for yourself; keeps every shipper happy that way. ;]
Enjoy! =D

So, I've just joined this site recently, and I'm so glad I found it. First of all: it's posting made easy. Second of all: it's a great forum, well-organized. Look forward to meeting other House fans who love to write as much as I do!
I'm also greatful to the Drabble-A-Thon, for aiding me in the idea of writing the fic "Tough Love". I found "Dying Changes Everything" to be one of the most heart-wrenching episodes of this or any other season. We've never seen House so vulnerable...not even, perhaps, in "Merry Little Christmas". He's desperate in this episode to keep Wilson grounded. It made my heart ache to see him trying so hard! When House really cares, he shows it, but in his own special way.
Would love to hear what others think about my fic. Please comment. As a writer, it would make my day!
Sincerely,
Sara K (Rivercrossing)

Ok guys this is my first time writing a fan fiction, and I know its like way short but this is just the way I think the scene should have played out. So don’t be to brutal, okay : )!!!!
Alternate scene for “Let Them Eat Cake”
Cuddy- We all know this is going somewhere… I think we should kiss now.
House- We already did that
He places his hand on her chest.
Cuddy blushes and then chuckles realizing that this was rational for House. She takes his hand and brings it to her hip, throws her arms around his neck and gives him a long kiss.
Cuddy- And it won’t be the last time.
