My friend told me that hippies don't believe in God is that true btw she's a hippie?

Yes & no. The hippies believe in nature & in the communion with the entire universe. Every life form is considered to be sacred. Hippies are more devoted to Goddess, namely in a form of Mother Nature, or Mother Earth, also the Moon. The Sun is sacred, as well as the Moon, yet unlike the Moon which is a symbol of the Goddess, the Sun is a symbol of a monotheistic, especially Christian God. The hippies are much more like the Wiccans for they both respect the nature & both are devoted to Goddess, than to Christian God, yet I think the hippies actually believe in a neutral form of Deity, both male & female, not so much in a Christian single-parent God as our Father, but more in a Wiccan Goddess as our Mother.
