Who do you prefer? Why?

Like what a lot of people are saying, I choose Hermione. I always loved Harry Potter ever since I was little, but last year I was obsessed with Twilight. All last year all I thought about was getting a boyfriend, making sure I was perfect for him, and everything Bella was. I was so depressed last year because of my break up with boyfriend just like Bella was. Not exaclty all suicidal and everything but still. I wasnt doing my best in school either because all Bella did was be with Edward and his family. I wasnt all that sociable either, just like Bella.

I look up to Hermione and Emma Watson too. Both of them are intelligent and so wise. Hermione focuses so much on school and that has become a huge influence on me. And when Emma Watson was finished with the last Harry Potter, she went into college. Hermione doesnt let love stop her from what she needs to get done. She is strong and independent and brave. She doesnt let little things get to her and she is my role model.

Also, I just want to point this out. There was a girl in my classes two years ago who love the Harry Potter series. She loved Hermione so much and everyone picked on her. She didnt like Twilight that much and I felt so bad for her. She was so smart and she didnt let little things get in the way from doing her work. I admire her for that and i just wish I can go to her and say thank you.

I'd definitely choose Hermione. Not just because she's an amazing role model and my role model, but because when she was young and I was young, 11 years old to be exact, I could relate to her. I was rather bossy and always felt left out and was a huge bookworm, just like Hermione. But then, as I grew up right alongside her, I came to realize I really shouldn't care what people thinks about me. I began to lighten up and began to make more friends. I love Hermione because she taught me to be who I wanted to be, and if that means sometimes defying the authority then so be it.
Bella, on the other hand, was different. I couldn't relate to her at all, because by the time I was reading Twilight, I was a teenager and a very loud and cheerful one at that. I was never ever obsessed with a boy, never too dependent on anyone, so Bella wasn't mean anything to me like Hermione did.

No one likes Bella. Wow! LOL! anyways I love Hermione. She is one of my fave characters! I love how she changes throughout the books and you see her grow. She is super bossy and strict but she adjusts it to be a better friend. She is brave, loyal, and independent. I LOVE HERMIONE<3

I like Hermione more. First of all she is not a mary-sue. In Twilight every guy likes Bella on her first day which is unrealistic. It took Hermione a while to make true friends. Hermione is also smarter and makes better decisions in situations. Hermione actually has faults. She also is in love with Ron who is better than having a perfect boyfriend. Plus she doesn't even have second thoughts when with him. She is also very loyal to her friends. To Bella everything revolves around her love life Hermione has an equal share of both. Hermione is way more developed than Bella.

Hermione. Why? She's not a Mary Sue, is intelligent, independent, and is a great role model.

I like Hermione A LOT more than Bella. She's sort of like a role-model for me. She's extremely intelligent; witty; clever and a good friend. Bella is none of these, to me, she's just some whiny Mary-Sue who I can't stand. She's obviously stupid, hanging out with some dangerous creepy stalker is not smart! And nothing is going to change my opinion of her.

Hermione, most defiantly for several reasons. She has her pros and cons in her personality; she isnt perfect which some of characters in Twilight have been potrayed...in my POV nobody is perfect its just unrealistic.

Of course i admire her thirst for knowledge, skill, her loyalty to her friends and one thing i like about her relationship with ron is that its built by over the years that they knew each other, from dislike, hey opposites attract lol; but with edward and bella they fell in love in what? a week? and bella knew that edward was the one? well i would have to like to see a realistic, positive development in bella/edward's relationship for so many reasons.

hermiony she is smart,caring(S.P.E.W) she dosent let down on her beliefs,plus shes nice to people even when no one else is(luna lovegood and victor crum)

Hermione, because she's strong, independant, smart, and she doesn't need a boy to tell her so.

Of course Hermione. There are many reasons, why I prefer Hermione more than Bella. One - she is more intelligent. I love that she is totally smart. Hermione helps her friends, when they ever need her. She is beautiful too. I love her every kind of way. Emma Watson had been always my favourite actress, and she still is. My idol - totally fancy her.
I´m waiting for Emma´s next movie. I love her all movies, especially Harry potter and Ballet shoes.And Hermione character is the best(L)(L)(L)(L)..

Hermione. She has depth. Her character has evolved in throughout the seven books. She doesn't need to be in a relationship to be happy. She's a strong, smart person.

I definitely like Hermione a lot more! She's intelligent, brave, kind, independent, cares about her education, is not a Mary-Sue, doesn't love her boyfriend because he's hot, rich, or immortal, doesn't ignore her friends, and she has a personality.

I agree with everyone else on this, Hermione. I like her for A LOT of more reasons then I like Bella.. One) Hermione is in the movie that I ADOREE and I ADORREEE her ! :D and she has more of a personality then Bella..Truthfully :)

When the love of Hermiones life left her she continued to help Harry search for Horcruxes and helped him escape You Know Who and didn't try to jump of a cliff.
When the love of Bellas like left her she became a zombie for months, ignored her friends and jumped off a cliff.
I think we can all see who is better.

Hermione. She is an intelligent human being, is kind, brave and does not need a man to support her. Bella is a weak character at best, and her entire series is about her personal struggle to find the perfect male.

I'd have to go with Hermione. She's intelligent, smart, down to earth. Though in a lot of fan fiction stories I read, writers tend to make her bossy, nosy and annoying. But in the actually Harry Potter books, she's a great character. She doesn't let anyone tell her what she should do with her life like Bella. She is really caught in a love triangle. She doesn't have someone like Jacob as a jealous friend who believes she should be happier with him. Anyways, she isn't boring. Bella, I don't care for her like I did. She believes she has 2 soul mates, kisses Jacob though she claims to be in love with Edward. She can't make up her mind. She's so clumsy, she has nearly died because of her clumsyness. She is just so blah. So, yeah, I like Hermione more.
