Hatter Question

When Charlie said "just Alice, I will be glad to export(sp) you, you're goods, and you're VASSEL...." did hatter say "did he just call me a VESSEL?"???

I was watching it and I thaught hatter said VESsEL but my brother said it was VASSEL and it sounded like VESSAL because of Andrews British accent. Plz help

You were right. Charlie called Hatter a vassel, which is like a serf or servant, and Hatter thought he said vessel, which means some sort of container (usually meaning a sacred vessel when the term is applied to a person).
