This Harry Potter photo contains portrait, headshot, and closeup.

How often does it happen that we decide to watch a film in the theatre, then search it online, and then leave it to finish downloading first so that we could watch it some other time, and then end up, ultimately, forgetting about it altogether? Quite often, I’d say!
There’s nothing wrong in choosing to download the film you are here for, but when you can link, why not simply sit down and enjoy it first, and then worry about whether you want to keep this film with your forever! It’s not only acceptable in the film-fan world, but it’s also the idea in vogue. Furthermore, outing to cinema...

So I've been thinking about this a lot lately...I discussed this with a friend a few months ago. We were talking about how many Christian groups (as you well know) have condemned HP as anti-Christian. In fact, I believe that the Harry Potter story is actually a symbolization of the Christian religion.
Note: This is entirely my opinion and is not meant as "Christian propaganda" or to offend anyone in the slightest. It is merely my opinion! :)

Harry Potter is Jesus. Whaaaaat?!
1) Both HP and Jesus were born into humble beginnings.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem, a tiny town literally in the middle...

Bellatrix Lestrange
Bellatrix Lestrange
I have been on the Harry Potter spot for a while now and I constantly find myself getting asked "why do you like Bellatrix?" So I decided to type up this article. Thank you lifeisgoodx3 for inspiring me to do so.

So why would some one like a person who killed Sirius, Dobby, Tonks, and tortured Hermione and the Longbottms? Well I actually have multiple reasons as to why I like her; Bellatrix stands for what she believes in, she's crazy and funny, pretty, unique, strong and confident, she has an interesting story behind her, I can relate to her, she has potential to be a good guy, and I have a...

As many people here on the Harry Potter spot know, Sirius Black is my favorite character. He has always been and always will be. Some people, along with me, love him. Some hate him. Some don't have much of an opinion on him. I've decided that I want to explain why I like Sirius, and how I came to like him.

I saw HP 1-6 movies before reading any of the books. I remember loving Sirius, even before I read the books. I believe the reason I liked him at the time was the relationship he had with Harry. Harry never really had a father figure, and Sirius was the first family he had. I must have thought...

Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley
Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley
I just want to state right away that J. K. Rowling is in no way sexist. This is about the fans and again, not all of them.

Ginerva Molly Weasley. The love of Harry Potter's life, the mother of his children. Headstrong, smart, cunning, quick-thinking, and fierce. The hero to many girls, young and old, and the object of affection to many boys out there as well.

Hermione Jane Granger. The love of Ron Weasley's life, the mother of his children. Also headstrong, smart, cunning, quick-thinking, and just as fierce, if only in a slightly different way. Hermione is possibly the most well-known of the...

Ever wondered what the dedications at the beginning of each Harry Potter book mean? You can find all the answers on this page!

Harry Potter and the Philosopher/Sorcerer's Stone
For Jessica, who loves stories, for Anne, who loved them too, and for Di, who heard this one first.
Explanation: Jessica is JK Rowling’s twelve-year-old daughter. Anne was Jo’s mother, who, unfortunately, died of Multiple Sclerosis on December 30th, 1990. Dianne, or “Di," is Jo’s younger sister who she read Philosopher/Sorcerer’s Stone before Jo sent it off to be reviewed.

1. I will not poke Hufflepuffs with spoons, nor will I insist that their House colors indicate that they are "covered in bees".

2. No matter how good a fake Australian accent I can do, I will not imitate Steve Irwin during Care of Magical Creatures class.

3. "I've heard every possible joke about Oliver Wood's name" is not a challenge.

4. Putting up Doug Henning posters in Filch's office is not appropriate.

5. I will not go to class skyclad.

6. The Giant Squid is not an appropriate date to the Yule Ball.

7. I will not use Umbridge's quill to write, "I told you I was hardcore".

I started reading the hp series when I was 12.
My grandma bought me the 1st book for Christmas.
As soon as I finished it I instantly loved it and re-read it about 4 times! I became obsessed with collecting the entire series and eventually obtained all seven volumes. Why I love Harry Potter so much is J.K Rowling really transports you to a different world with her style of writing. There is so much detail and realism in her writing that whenever I read the books I am compeletly engrossed in the Harry Potter universe. Another thing I really love about the books is the characters are really believable...

By now everyone probably knows I have a crazy thing for Bellatrix and think she's the most wonderful thing that has happened to the HP series. But there are some huge differences between book Bella and movie Bella. But gosh dammit, I love them both! Here's why.

Book Bellatrix

Book Bella for me is everything I look for in a villainess. She's ruthless, she's wild, and she's got no mercy and no qualms about her bad deeds.While movie Bellatrix does share this trait I feel as though she has her moments of guilt. I say this because I really don't know how else to interpret this;

So Rowling never really discussed why Bellatrix is so obsessed with Voldemort. And I constantly ponder upon how anyone could find that no-nosed snake-man-boy attractive in any way. With that said I wanted to post a few of my theories as well as some of the interesting ones I've seen across the net. Once again, as stated, these are just theories and speculations. No more, no less.

First and foremost I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that she loves him or at least started to love him based on the fact that they share similar ideologies. Both loved the idea of pure-blood supremacy. A lot of...

Care for a Bat Bogey Hex? Anyone?
Greetings Fellows! I'm Isabellagirl033 and I've written this article to clear the confusion that many of you seem to make. I've seen and heard many people classifying Ginny Weasley as a Mary Sue character. Yikes!
Jk Rowling has made the character of Ginny Weasley a very complex one. She evolves from a shy, little girl to a fiery and outspoken redhead. The problem is that Ginny has so many positive characteristics that they overshadowed her flaws.

Ginny indeed has many flaws etc.
* In the Chamber of Secrets, Ron himself says that "Ginny never shuts up, normally" meaning that one of her flaws is...
