“Take it…take it…”
Snape struggled to give Harry the memories that explained what had happened, why he had had to do what he did. He held on as tightly as he could, trying to filter into Harry just how important it was for him to see them. Snape felt himself drifting. He knew that he was about to die, after all these years he would finally get his wish. For him, life had been fueled by the dream of Lily loving him as much as he did her. She had been his one true friend, and though she didn’t know it, his whole world. Severus knew that he wasn’t easily liked and that had only made him love her even more, because she had been his only chance. He had tried since the day that he had met her, done the best he could to get her to realize how much they were meant to be together, but than the day had come when his pride had gotten the better of him. The pain of the memory burned him, almost as much as when he saw James and Lily together, it didn’t compare, though, to the pain that he had felt when he found out that Lily was dead. That pain had been beyond imagining. It was as if the Crusio spell was being done directly onto his heart. It was...

1) Follow him around and keep asking the same stupid question no matter what answer he gives.

2) Follow him around chanting, “Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? Remus stole the cookie from the cookie jar!"

3) Give him nicknames that are unrelated to his real name. Ex: Paul. Joe. Han Solo. Teddy Bear. Freddie.

4) Ask loudly where babies come from. Keep asking him even if he claims he won’t tell you.

5) On the off chance he gets frustrated enough to tell you where babies come from (previously mentioned on number 4), look offended and claim he’s not taking you seriously.

6) Whenever he’s done saying something snigger and say, “Yeah, like well ever believe that!” very sarcastically.

7) Poke him at random moments, and don’t give him a straight answer as to why you are doing it, either.

8) Laugh at any and all plans he comes up with.

9) Follow him around and tell people that he learned everything he knows from you.

For several long seconds, George’s mind refused -- no, was unable -- to comprehend what his eyes were telling it. He could not believe it; surely it was not possible. A joke, or a misunderstanding, or something serious, but not that serious, not enough to warrant the tears on everyone’s faces, nor his mother’s silence and outstretched arms. Not enough for Charlie’s pale face and blank eyes, nor Ginny’s quiet whimpers, nor Percy’s shoulders, heaving with silent sobs.

And then the awareness seeped through, the sight of Fred’s body registered, and there was something in his throat, he couldn’t breathe or speak or make any noise at all, and there was a horrible weight pressing on his chest, crushing all the air out of his lungs. Fred could not lie so still and be so white, because that could mean only one thing, and George would not possibly accept that, even if the truth were right there in front of him.

“Georgie,” his mother whispered, and he let her clasp her to him tightly while she wept on his shoulder. Thank God she had him, she was probably thinking. Thank God he was still alive, he was not lying, cold and still as marble, on the...

Whenever my teacher used to say that we've to write an essay on our favorite hobby, i used to get furious coz i never knew what my fav hobby was? I was not content with this and i always got low marks in writing this essay. What's the thing that i always loved to do, i always thought about that.Until Harry Potter came into my life at the age of 13. i read about it day n night. I always talked about it and was very proud of my hobby. Whenever a new student came to our classroom i never forgot to ask him/her if he/she read harry potter or was a potter head.

These books really freshens up my mind. Beside fun, enjoyment and refreshment it also offers information and our vocabulary is increased(and of spells)

The best part of these books is that it attracts you to read on and on and on.So it gets really fun reading it. these books have adventure, mystery, suspense, horror, humor and much more. the names are very unusuall especially Albus Dumbledore and Voldemort.Everything is just perfect in these books.

Well this is my 1st ever fan fiction. Hope you'll enjoy...
This is a very very short and sad story with a really happy ending if you know what i mean....:D
So here goes......

Once upon a time. a boy named Harry Potter fell in love with a girl named Cho Chang "at first sight" coz he knew it'll all over as soon as she opens her mouth*wink*.....
Anyways...they spent some time together and too soon(for Cho at least) Harry asked her:"will you marry me?"
Cho said:"no!!"

And that's how Harry began to live in peace and happiness!!!....

WARNING Total spoilers for lastest film. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT!!!

I just saw Half-Blood Prince and entertainment wise it's proberly the best so far - so go see it! It has one of the funniest HP scenes ever (Harry taking Felix potion).
BUT it was also the worst in terms of missing information and missing scenes. I'm holding out for DH though as i figured that they purposely missed out stuff in order to bulk up those two films. So here is my list of things that truly annoyed me about the film.

1. This one actually counts in at least the last 3 films. Dumbledore just isn't Dumbledore! There was one moment in paticular in GoF when Harrys name came out of the goblet and Dumbledore shoved him against a wall and shouted at him. No one can honestly tell me that's a true Dumbledore representation.
2.OK back to HBP. What was the Burrow fight scene about. Obviously it was supposed to replace the Hogwarts fight scene at the end but i just don't see why. It would of taken the same amount of time and i doubt the cost would be much more. EDIT: I just heard that JKR did write this scene but just didn't put it in the book....

Okay so I got this off Livejournal and it just came out to me, so I decided to post it here!
This has nothing to do with preferences or what not, I just thought this was something interesting! It's not everyday we get Harry Potter star gossip!

The stories about Emma and Jade seem to have started during the New York premiere of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” The morning after the premiere, The Daily Mail ran an article titled, “Emma Watson upstaged by evil Draco Malfoy’s girlfriend at Harry Potter premiere in New York.”

Additionally, a German gossip magazine went into more details about the supposed events of that night, in an article called, “Draco’s girlfriend is Emma Watson’s Nightmare.” Thanks to a nice translation (thanks again, Selly!), we can now read it:

[i]Emma Watson was flabbergasted when the paparazzi suddenly turned away from her. Hermione’s got competition!

Thousands of fans and press had come to see the New York premiere of “Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince”. Emma Watson, the female star of the night, was all dolled up. She made her way over the red carpet in short...

AN/ well if you are a major fan like me that researched what happened to are characters after DH( more than what JKR told us in the epilogue). U know Ginny played for the Holly Head Harpies before she became a Quidditch journalist for the Daily Prophet. here is how I think Ginny would have felt why she was away playing Quidditch.

Another summer day has come and gone away in Paris and Rome. But I wanna go home. May I be surrounded by a million people, I still fell alone.

She heard the millions of cheers as she threw the quaffle. She still felt alone. Her family was not there.

I wanna go home. Oh I miss you, you know. I been keeping all the letters I wrote to you. Each line or two.

My dearest Harry,

I am fine. How are you? I love playing Quidditch here. I miss you a lot. I cannot wait to see you again.

Your loving girlfriend,

Ginny

She sat it in her bag with all the rest.

I am fine baby, how are you. I would send them but I know that it is just not enough. My words are cold in flames. I know you deserve more than that. Another airplane another sunny place. I am lucky I...

OMG i just loved to wrote this chapter, i don´t know why, it´s a little bite sad but i really love it.
Hope you like it
Please tell me what you think
Thanks

It didn´t take me too much long to realize that who was coming was my brother and Filch, they were doing the usual round by Hogwarts to check if everything was how as it should be... whitout Sirius Black.
I remembered that Severus had, literally, forbidden me of getting out of my room after dinner time for being to dangerous now that Sirius Black had escaped from Azkaban and he was looking for a way to get into Hogwarts.
I looked at him again with something similar to panic in my eyes, i started to walk in the opposite direction looking for a place to hide. Remus came after me. My brother hate Remus, if he caught us together in the middle of the night, alone...
I´m sure Remus was thinking about that when he followed me through the hallway. I tried to open a few doors but none opened, not even with the Alohomora charm wich meant that each door had a password and only knowing the password we could get into the room hidden behind the door. I was getting so nervous that...

Rowling: [surprised] "Harry and Hermione! Do you think so?" -- From Katie Couric's June 2003 interview with JK Rowling

"Harry and Hermione are very platonic [platonic means nonsexual] friends. But I won't answer for anyone else. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink." -- From a National Press Club Luncheon chat with JK Rowling, October 1999)

Q: Is it just me, or was something going on between Ron and Hermione during the last half of Goblet of Fire?
A: "Yes, something's "going on," but Ron doesn't realize it yet. Typical boy." -- From a BarnesandNoble.com chat with JK Rowling

Q: Does Hermione like Ron as more than a friend?
A: The answer to that is in Goblet of Fire! -- From a BBC chat with JK Rowling, March 12, 2001)

The Leaky Cauldron: Can you predict one thing you think will happen to each of your characters in the books?

Goblet of Fire Excerpts

"We should get a move on, you know...ask someone. He's right. We don't want to end up with a pair of trolls."
Hermione let out a sputter of indignation.
"A pair of...what, excuse me?"
"Well -- you know," said Ron, shrugging. "I'd rather go alone than with -- with Eloise Midgen, say."
"Her acne's loads better lately -- and she's really nice!"
"Her nose is off-center," said Ron.
"Oh I see," Hermione said, bristling. "So basically, you're going to take the best-looking girl who'll have you, even if she's completely horrible?"
"Er -- yeah, that sounds about right," said Ron.
"I'm going to bed," Hermione snapped, and she swept off towards the girls' staircase without another word.

"All the good-looking ones taken, Ron?" said Hermione loftily. "Eloise Midgen starting to look quite pretty now, is she? Well, I'm sure you'll find someone somewhere who'll have you."
But Ron was staring at Hermione as though suddenly seeing her in a whole new light.

I don´t know if this part will be a little bit confusing for some ppl but i hope you like it!
I really love to write this story...
Thank you so much

His eyes were blue as always… but cold, intimidating, as the eyes of a wolf. We were in a room where I had never been before what surprised me. It was a small room with many old broken tables and chairs stowed on top of each other, wood shelves wrapped in spider webs caring old goblets. In one corner was a large mirror blurry by dust, all of it was made of gold and I could see my face reflected in it. I was pale like a ghost and his eyes were still focused in me, he was waiting I just don´t knew for what or maybe I knew it and I just didn´t want to think about it… to talk about it.
My strength to talk to him seemed to disappear in the darkness. Now that I have to confront his eyes I felt weak, vulnerable, no courage left…

And so now the hurly-burly's done, the battle's lost and won — the Battle of Hogwarts, that is — and all the secrets are out of the Sorting Hat. Those who bet Harry Potter would die lost their money; the boy who lived turned out to be exactly that. And if you think that's a spoiler at this late date, you were never much of a Potter fan to begin with. The outrage over the early reviews (Mary Carole McCauley of The Baltimore Sun, Michiko Kakutani of The New York Times) has faded...although the sour taste lingers for many fans.

It lingers for me, too, although it doesn't have anything to do with the ultimately silly concept of ''spoilers,'' or the ethics of jumping the book's pub date. The prepublication vow of omertà was, after all, always a thing concocted by publishers Bloomsbury and Scholastic, and not — so far as I know — a part of either the British Magna Carta or the U.S. Constitution. Nor does Jo Rowling's impassioned protest (''I am staggered that some American newspapers have decided to publish...reviews in complete disregard of the wishes of literally millions of readers, particularly children...'') cut much ice with me. These books ceased to be...

The Fidelius Charm is a powerful charm that is central to the Harry Potter tale. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Professor Flitwick tells us the charm is:

"an immensely complex spell ... involving the magical concealment of a secret inside a living soul. The information is hidden inside the chosen person, or Secret-Keeper, and is henceforth impossible to find -- unless, of course, the Secret-Keeper chooses to divulge it." (PoA pg 205/152)

J.K. Rowling gave us further information on the how the Fidelius Charm works. In a FAQ poll on her official site, she says:

When a Secret-Keeper dies, their secret dies with them, or, to put it another way, the status of their secret will remain as it was at the moment of their death. Everybody in whom they confided will continue to know the hidden information, but nobody else. (JKRowling.com)

So, although Flitwick describes it as "complex", J.K's description is seemingly straightforward, the information is concealed within the Secret-Keepers soul, and there it stays for an eternity, unless the Secret-Keeper chooses to communicate the knowledge. But is that the whole story? No.

Well... maybe not. At least, I don't think he is.

I must admit, J.K. completely got me. I fell for it all, hook, line and sinker.

I waited on line at midnight on July 16 to be among the first to get a copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, like millions of others around the world, and I had it completely read by the afternoon of the next day.

Caught up in the roller coaster of J.K.'s marvelous and fantastic mysteries, Snape's betrayal and the death of Dumbledore caught me completely by surprise. Dumbledore was dead, and on top of that, Snape had done it.

My brand-new copy of Half-Blood Prince became as tear-stained as one of Hagrid's notes, and I remained upset about it all the rest of the day.

But after sleeping on it, the next day I realized that there were important clues about Snape and Dumbledore that I had missed. And the more I looked back, the more clues I found, realizing that they had been there all along.

Lately, through picks and forums I have noticed that a lot of people prefer the Cho/Harry pairing over the Ginny/Harry pairing. They have provided some pretty good reasons as to why they like Cho and Harry but I don't know... something about them just seems off. Don't take this the wrong way, I am not a Cho "hater" and I have no problem with Cho/Harry shippers. I just wanted to take some time and explain my reasoning...

1) Sure, Harry got butterflies in his stomach when her saw Cho[ Before Sirius' death] but after every date they had together Harry always ended up more miserable than he already was. A good example would be Valentines day in Hogsmeade.

2)Speaking of Valentines day,

Cho: "Oh, you'll talk to Hermione Granger! But you won't talk to me! P-perhaps it would be best if we just...just p-paid and you went and met up with Hermione G-Granger, like you obviously want to!"

Cho always seemed to be jealous of Harry and Hermione's relationship. In fact, there were multiple arguments about Hermione...
