My opinion on these characters, from least favorite to favorite:

Ginny -- She's my least favorite character in the series. She's just far too Mary Sue-ish for my taste.

Lucius -- I don't mind him, but I also don't really care for him.

Harry -- I love him. Yes, he has a lot of flaws, and yes they can get on my nerves sometimes, but at the end of the day he is a well written and sympathetic character.

Voldemort -- Well, Tom Riddle is the more interesting character to me, but Voldemort is pretty cool too. However, at the same time he's a pretty cliche big bad, which makes him slightly more boring and predictable than the type of villain I seem to favor.

Hermione -- In the books, at least, she's a wonderful character. I love how she's written to be smart, but not in all areas, and to have an admirable personality, while at the same time having lots of flaws.

Snape -- Great character; his chapter made me cry. I love how shady he was, and how it was never really clear what side he was on until the very end. Really, only Dumbledore and Bellatrix knew..

Cho -- I'll admit, I tend to get defensive about characters that no one else likes, to the point where I start loving them just because they don't deserve the hate they get. Cho was a great character and sure, she had her flaws, but I could always sympathize with her. She was loyal and smart and thoughtful.

Draco -- Draco's just... I mean.. I've always been drawn to complex, unique, angsty characters with a lot of internal drama, so.. I guess that's mostly why I love Draco so much.

Fred/George -- Actually, I rank Fred below Draco and George above him. Although, if I were just assessing their movie characters, they'd both be a lot lower on the list, considering how much their personalities are shafted and they are only really used for comic relief. In the books though, they're both awesome.

Ron -- 3rd favorite character in Harry Potter. I really don't understand why he gets so much hate. He's a truly loyal friend until the end, he's brave and he's constantly striving to prove himself.

Of course you like Harry, he's the main character. He is liked by most people in this fandom.

Harry - love him. Excellent protagonist who goes through realistic character development despite being in supernatural situations! My 5th favourite character in the whole series.

Hermione - love her too. Enjoyed her geekiness/know-it-all side especially in the earlier books. She's my 4th favourite.

Ron - started to appreciate him more in the movies than the books, but love him in both! Really funny, has some priceless one-liners and I can relate to his panicky side. He's my 3rd favourite character overall and my favourite of the Golden Trio.

Ginny - preferred her in the books to the movies, she was never a favourite of mine but I don't have a problem with her either. She's alright.

Cho - I like her when I think about it, but for the most part she tends to be one of those characters I forget about! But like I said, I do like her.

Fred/George - both are great! Love their humour and wackiness. I feel like their comedy is written just right - they are entertaining but never really become annoying.

Draco - I don't mind him and think he's an interesting character, although I have to admit something about his portrayal in the movies always irked me. I think maybe he reminds me of a kid I knew in school who was kind of difficult to get along with!

Voldemort - actually not my favourite villain in the series but he's still pretty great. On a side note, I really enjoy the jokes and memes in the fandom that are based on him. (On another side note, this fandom is just awesome anyway.)

Mr. Malfoy - another one of those characters that I don't mind but am not particularly a fan of either. But like his son, I did find his character pretty interesting at times.

Snape - love him, the way he was introduced in the first book (suspected villain and turns out to be trying to protect Harry all along) was fantastic. I also enjoyed the way other aspects of his character were revealed to us as the series progressed. Not sure where he'd rank in my list of favourite characters but he would definitely be up there!

Harry -
my precious cinnamon roll. I will literally defend Harry to the death. He's 3rd on my list of favourite characters but I don't think there was ever a time where I hated Harry. I always felt for him and understood him, even when he was flipping out and throwing shit around.

Hermione -
I love Hermione too, not as much as Harry and Ron, but I love her all the same. Sometimes she's too closeminded for my taste. You'd think someone who was raised a Muggle and discovers she's a witch would be more open to different views lol.

Ron -
His character was torn apart in the films and reduced to someone that's just not the Ron I read about growing up. Book Ron is almost perfect to me. He's so completely flawed but brilliant and just very relatable as someone who's always felt a little ... inadequate.

Ginny -
Exactly the same as Ron. Only worse. So much worse. What they did to her in the films was innexcusable. She's amazing in the books.

Cho -
I have no problem with Cho and I feel like one of the only people on the planet who doesn't. She's not a favourite of mine but I in no way hate her.

Fred/George -
I cry whenever I think about them...

Draco -
I cannot stand. I feel sorry for him and what he was forced to be a part of but like his bio on Pottermore stated, there was always a part of him that wanted that glory and success that the Death Eaters bought. I don't like him at all but I blame his father entirely for who he was as a child/teenager.

Voldemort -
Lord. Literally. He's some next level shit.

Mr. Malfoy -
(see. Draco)

Snape -
...no comment
