Harry Potter Question

"We've all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are."

To me this is one of the most beautiful moments in the series. This quote is a mark of genious, it speaks the truth about life and ourselves. The full paragraph is this "I want you to listen to me very carefully, Harry. You're not a bad person. You're a very good person, who bad things have happened to. Besides, the world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are." DO you agree with me or have a different opinion?

Absolutely agree. Also, ones that can except both are better off as human being too. I've learned that myself.

Sometimes this is the case. But not all the time. There are people who are ALL bad and there is nothing (and never was) anything good about their personality.

I think if someone had loved Voldemort at a young age he would not have been as evil

If we consider that the HP books are read first by teenagers, I think this is a very positive message for them to read.

The same goes for adults too. We have to make choices - and sometimes very difficult ones - throughout our whole life and honestly, it's still pretty much relevant even for us adults.

I like that quote by Sirius and the one Dumbledore makes about death : "To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."

I think this is very true. We can all do really good things or really terrable things if we chose to. I loved that part in the movie it made me cry.

I don't think it's actually in the books. It was part of an altered script for the fifth film. Does that mean you won't be able to use it?
