Hmm. I have to disagree with this. Alice is a Mary-Sue. She's super smart, pretty, funny, and she has eternal youth? Not to mention she's rich, a psychic, and has fantastic style. There are absolutely no character flaws. That's unrealistic and just more proof that Stephenie Meyer is a crappy author. Hermione is smart, brave and loyal; she's also uptight, a know-it-all, and she has physical flaws along with personality flaws. Hermione is much better, and JKR is better than SMeyer. Even Stephen King (king of Horror novels!) agrees; his exact words were, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good." I think he knows more about literature than random Twilight fans.
