How Edward Got Bella Pregnant, Why it's Not Sexist, and Why Renesmee Does Not Suffer From Down Syndrome

Youknowit101/Cassie-1-2-3 collaboration.

I asked a question a bit ago asking what bothers you about Bella’s pregnancy. We got some very interesting answers, thank you. We are now here to respond to the points made.

(Keep in mind that we did not consult anyone associated with the creation of the Twilight Series. We just used logic and text to make sense of everything.)

(I’m going to be using words like penis and orgasm, so if you haven’t had a certain talk with your parents yet, you probably...

Before I begin, I’d like to set one thing straight: I’m not against Twilight fans. I respect you and your opinions. I just have different ones. These reasons are opinion and fact mixed together. Please don't disrespect me for my opinions. Also, warning: This will be long.

After completely the Harry Potter series, I looked for the next “big thing.” Being in middle school, the next “big thing” was the Twilight Saga. Sure, why not. I read them through once. I didn’t love it. I didn’t hate it. It was just another book. I never laughed, or cried. It never pulled any emotion out of...

Dolores Jane Umbridge… can ANYONE forgive her? And yet, despite being so horrendously evil, she is a very interesting character.
She is very loyal, because we know how she remained on Fudge’s side through the whole dilemma. She is also very easy to hate, for she gave Harry countless detentions for telling the truth. We know very little about Dolores; surely Rowling knows more. She has always planned her characters to the death – one reason why Harry Potter makes a very interesting read.
Back on the topic of Umbridge, we have to accept that she could have had a childhood like Snape –...

So I am reading reasons as to why Twilight fans think Twilight is better than Harry Potter. I just want to make it clear; there is a big difference between liking one series better than another, and one series actually being better than another. I also want to reply to some of the more common ones I've seen.

"Twilight has more love!"
Okay, Twilight does not have more love than Harry Potter by any means. Twilight has a lot of obsessive lust, which is often mistaken for love, but they are quite different.

Why is their relationship lust? Why isn't it love?

Well, what do Bella and Edward do together?...

It's called "Daughter of Darkness" by V.C. Andrews.

This book was just aweful. It's about a 17 year old vampire girl named Lorelie Patio (Mary Sue alert!) whos only purpose in life is to be her Daddy's sex slave. This book is filled with shallow evaluations of beauty, anti feminism, poor morals, and disgusting turn of events.

Lorelie has three sisters who are manipulated and emotionally abused by their father. The worst thing about it is that it's never seen as a bad thing. It's disguised as fatherly love. None of the characters recognize the manipulation or abuse. You have to read between the...

Here are some excerpts that were cut out of the Twilight books for various reasons. Some of you guys might find them interesting and maybe help you understand or see something you didn't see before.

These are copied from Stephenie Meyer's website

--------------------------

"Sometimes, in the editing process, sacrifices must be made. Some parts are cut because they slow down the action, others are cut simply to condense length, others are cut to simplify the plot. And, whatever the reason behind the removal, some cuts are more painful than others. This page is dedicated to the cuts that I miss...

1. Ask him why he doesn't have such a cool scar.

2. Call him The-Guy-Who-Let-The-Boy-Live.

3. Smile during Death Eater meetings and say you taught him everything he knows.

4. Remind him that he isn't even really alive.

5. Ask him when he last took a bath.

6. Pat him on the head and give him flowers when his plans are foiled yet again

7. Play "knock and run" at his bedchamber door late at night.

8. Ask him why the Dark Mark couldn't look like something more "sociably acceptable".

9. If you ever need to say "Like taking candy from a baby", be sure to add: '"Of course, SOME of us might find that harder...

This is an answer to a question posted by coolbek. If you read it, please feel free to provide constructive criticism. However, please don't post hateful comments without backing up your opinion - it just makes you look foolish.

These are my reasons as to why people like Harry Potter more than Edward Cullen:

1. Harry has flaws - anger, sometimes arrogance and a few more. These flaws make Harry a character with depth, and also a character that we can relate to. Nobody can be perfect in the real world – our flaws are what make us human. The saying “Perfection…is apt to be dull” explains...

Many Twilighters love to say how "Edward and Bella love each other sooooo much!" I'm afraid I have to disagree on this point. Their relationship is pure lust, not love.

Here is my reasoning.

How do Bella and Edward decide they are in love? Well, Bella moves in to Forks. Her first day of High School there, she looks across the cafeteria, and she sees a totally gorgeous guy! He catches her attention immediately and she decides right then and there that he is the only man in the town who is good enough for her, despite the fact that she has never spoken to him once in her life. She swats off the...

I read the twilight saga and i loved it i was a twihard for a while yes, but was more fond of the voltori than anything else, When i read Harry Potter and the philosophers stone, i became addicted in its content, i read the books one by one and read them again, i like twillight, yes, but there is no doubt i prefar Harry Potter, i also read all the Hunger Games Books and was a tribute, still Harry Potter is my life and soul. Jk.rowling has an imagnation unlike many i know, the books depth and detail is unbelivable, i just wish it never had to end, you have to read all the books or you wont fully...

I haven't read Midnight Sun so this article is from the 'Bella-point-of-view' books. Edward has been single for over 100 years. While this sounds riddikulus, funny sometimes, it somewhat makes him attractive (Twihards: attractive personality). His 'waiting-for-the-right-person' aura makes him mysterious. I couldn't care if Edward was played by Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson or Dustin Diamond. So for now I am going to set aside the looks, sparkles, stalking, virginity, erections and anything that confirms or contradicts his vampire-ness and dissect his raw personality.

Twilight:

Chapter 1 part 2
The flight took five hours. It was the longest journey Bella had ever traveled and she was happy enough to have both feet on steady ground again. She walked to the luggage belt and grabbed her luggage, succeeding to pull a few other valises with it. Bella’s face turned red and she put her own luggage on the floor and put the valises that weren’t hers back on the belt. Then she lifted her suitcases again and walked outside.
Outside two people were standing with a huge placard saying ‘Welcome home, Bella’ One of them was waving heavily at her and wanted to run into her...

"This afternoon, I was lucky enough to be among 400 other movie fans to attend a test screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" in Chicago, Illinois.
Rumors had been circuiting around the internet about this screening, but confirmation that it was Harry Potter didn't come until just before the film started. Since this was a working cut of the film, many effects and scenes were not finished. At least 50% of the special effects were still in the CGI rendering stage, and green screens were visible throughout the film. Also,...

Chapter 1 part 1
It was 8.30 am. A 17 year old girl lay asleep in her bed, a naughty smile on her face. She was obviously dreaming. She put her arms around her pillow like she was embracing it. She could dream on forever. But unfortunately…
“Isabella Swan, if you wish to be on that plane in time, you better get your pretty ass out of your bed right now!” a female voice shouted from downstairs.
Bella groaned and with her head half underneath the sheets she touched for the alarm clock. She opened her eyes a little a checked the hour. The knowledge she gained, made her eyes almost fall out...

I found this when I randomly looked up "Twihard"

Twihard-
Stupid obsessive people (mostly teenage girls) who are "in love with fictional characters and wouldn't know a good book if it punched them in the face."

Twihard: "OMG!! Isn't Edward Cullen like so hot??? I'm gonna marry him!!!"

Awesome person who isn't insane: "Dude, he's not real."

Twihard: "How could you say that?! I'm in love with him!!"

Here is a list of flaws found in Twilight:

1. Quileute Tribe - She added imprinting, which isn't even in their history, as a way to manipulate the relationships and have automatic 'true love' . If I was Quileute I would feel insulted.

2. Basic Biology - It is stated in New Moon that an ancestor of the Quileute tribe transferred his soul to a real wolf when his earthly body had been destroyed. In Breaking Dawn, Edward reveals that the Quileute tribe are not real werewolves, but shape-shifters. How can it be that this transformation is genetic for the descendants of the tribe?

3. Armed forces...

Favorite book from each series? Why?
What would you change in each book? Why?
What did you like in each book? Why?
What are the morals you learned in each series?
What were the happiest/saddest/scariest/funniest moments in each series?

*WARNING: Long+Spoilers*

My favorite character in Twilight would have to be Angelea. She's very smart and
kind and she doesn't judge anyone. Even if she may not agree with her friends,
she's still always there for them.

*I used to like Twilight until I started really reading it and it seemed like the more I heard or read into it, the more negative things I would find. This is coming from an unbiased point of view; Me being a fan of Harry Potter has nothing to do with my opinion.

Why I hate Twilight and think it is a bad example of love:
•     Bella is incredibly disrespectful, insensitive, and rude to her own parents. She even calls them by their first names. She thinks her dad is a ‘dumb*** and constantly says he can’t look after himself and she calls her own mother an idiot all because...
