1. he/she just said "its not" (completley agree with them)
1 1/2. (y is there a half?) the person just said that its not.
2. i dont think that many ppl can relate 2 twilight b/c we aren't that obessissive to jump off a cliff or hurt ourselves 4 r sweeties (at least i hope not), i dont feel any emotion at all and i certaintley don't want 2 b bella. Harry Potter has a story 2 and it's better. (response to "It's as if u hav a story")When I read Harry Potter, I feel as if I understand him better then bella because he goes through a lot more then bella.
2. (i think its unfair that there is another reason #2) 1st of all: the spelling is completley incorrect. 2nd of all: Harry Potter has love in it and "Da sacrifize ov life 2 save othurs isnt luv at all" is a stupid statement cause if you are sacrificing yourself to save others, isn't that "luv"? For example: Snape nearly sacrificed his life to protect Harry and it was all because of his love for Lily.
3. They just said it, Harry Potter is far superior then twilight.
4. This reason is weak, just because theres a character you like in the book does not mean that the book is better. I could say that because Bellatrix Lestrange is in the book, it is a better book.
5. if this answer isn't sarcastic, then I would say that this person just said the reason why Harry Potter is better then Twilight unknowlingly.
6. Twilight could not be true because ther are vampires inside it and they don't exist. "Harry Potter is just some teenage kids who deperatley need to grow up". I actually think that it's Bella who needs to grow up because she mostly whines about things that she can't have and she is really ungrateful. The Harry Potter characters have grown up throughout the series, even Draco. As for comparing it with Romeo and Juliet, it is nothing like it. The love between Romeo and Juliet is forbidden and in Twilight, a lot of people are welcoming it. I don;t see how it compares with Romeo and Juliet(although I don't like it.)
7. This person just said that Harry Potter is better.
8. Yeah, "it's not better"
9. Since this person did not read Harry Potter, this does not count.
10. Romance does not mean everything, family come sfirst you know. The fact that Edward and Bella are meant to be each other and and the realtionship is "perfect" is unrealistic. Ron and Hermione didn't run so perfectly which is realistic to me. The rest of the message I didn't make sense of.
11. Another Harry Potter fan.
12. They just said Harry Potter is better.
13. There are relateable wizards in Harry Potter and Harry has been clumsy before which I think was really funny. Bella is someone I can not relate to.
14. Another person who said that it's not.
15. In Harry Potter, there are werewolves. And there are more creatures in Harry Potter then in Twilight. As for "who can't luv Jacob?..." That is not a reason. Who can't love Luna anyways?
16. What do you mean by "..is the fantasy that is real?". I thought that fantasy was not real. And people in Harry Potter can do more then read minds and see the future.
17. 1st if all: Your first reason is your opinion.
Remember that. 2nd of all: Harry Potter has lots of twists and turns, like when Snape was really on the good side. We all knew that Bella was going to fall for Edward. There is romance in Harry Potter, Harry/Ginny, Hermione/Ron.
18. Harry Potter is more going in deph and emotion because there is more feeling(maybe because of the deaths)I didn't feel Bella's pain. I felt Harry's when Fred died. I felt his pain when Ginny kissed Dean, (and thats saying something cause I am a girl)
19. Harry Potter has love. Please read the books.
20. J K Rowling CHOSE to write in "the chosen one's" point of view and he is still a teenager. He is just like everyone else(you know what i mean) Bella is normal to me which is just annoying because she can't do anything. And how many people fall in love with a vampire. (My taste is better then that)
21. Again, my response is just like #4. And Wizards can do more then wave their wands.
22. Why is Bella's thoughts more realistic then Harry Potter? I'm pretty sure that Harry would think that Edward is being controlling towards Bella and Bella doesn't even know it. I couldn't understand the rest of the message.
23. I don't think that thinking long words is part of people's thoughts. And the parts when Harry Potter listed landscape in his head is when he doesn't fight evil, saavy? (I just felt like adding that in. Don't ask.)
24. I felt Harry's pain better then Bella's pain. I felt bored and confused when I read from Bella's point of view.
25. 1. It is pretty stupid to list that vampire baseball is better then quidditch as a reason.
2. Quidditch is better cause it is really original and vampire baseball is just like baseball but more extreme. And if you're not a vamp, then you can't play it.
26. "Cullens would die for each other" They didn't really die and the people fighting at Hogwarts died all for Harry and to save the world. YOu should't have included that the cullens are faster and stronger cause that means it will be easier for them to sacrifice themselves.
27. A reason that Harry Potter is better.
28. Hermione is more realistic because she is more flawed and sometimes bossy,(proving that she isn't perfect) Bella has a more confusing personality and is really ungrateful and she mostly does the exact opposite of what most people would do. Bella also did not defend herself from a rapist. And Bella is helpless and kinda stupid.
29. Reason why Harry Potter is better.
30. This is not a reason. You just said some info about the twilight werewolves.
31. They said Twilight sux!
32. So? Molly and Arther are great parents.
33. Same respnse as #30.
34. This is not a reason. And whoses side are you on?
35. J K Rowling paid attention to the facts she wrote out.
36. Britain is a real place you know? And vampires are not real.
37. Just because edward would kill harry (it's not true), does not make it better.
38. If vampires are better, it still doesn't make Twilight better then Harry Potter.
39. A reason why Harry Potter is better.
40. Another reason why Harry Potter is better.
41. This is a stupid reason and I am not goin to respond to this (mostly because I can't understand this)
42. Another Harry Potter is better reason.
43. There are more loveable characters in Harry Potter too. Ron, Fred, Hermione, Luna, etc. Twilight is not realistic because of Bella's bizarre reactions, and the fact that everyone seems to like Bella. Twilight is not well written. Stephanie Meyer should pay more attention to the important parts of the story rather then Edwards dazzling eyes. And Twilight is not interesting because of the lack of action, interesting dialouge, and commone sense. Harry Potter is not boring and completley out because every bit of Harry Potter has an important detail in it, and there is os much going on and the whole thinkg is not shoved right in front of your face.
44. Your reason is mostly your opinion. Harry Potter is more then an elected lightning bolt on his forehead. He has to defeat the dark lord and faces his fears and loses his loved ones.
45. Another Harry Potter is better reason.
46. Twilight does not have a better story line because it is not focused. In the first book, Edward has to hide Bella and kill James. It also centers around Bella meeting Edward. In the second book, it centers around Edward leaving Bella and going into four months of blank. Then she meets Jacob and his werewolf gang has to protect Bella from Victoria. In the third book, it just centers around the love triangle between Bella, Jacob and Edward and who she should choose. In Breaking Dawn, it mainly centers on Bella's baby and on how they should keep her. In Harry Potter, many things go on but J K Rowling centers the whole thing on defeating Voldemort. And the werewolf in Harry Potter is better then the werewolves in Twilight.
47. Harry Potter is more people of all ages, not just for kids. Harry Potter has some romance in it too. And Harry Potter makes you think back in the stories and it might make you smart.
48. Harry Potter has lots of love in it, more then romance. Harry Potter is more realistic; I already explained why its realistic in the other reasons. Harry Potter has great characters too; Harry, Fred, Ron, Hermione, Bellatrix, George etc. Characters that are the same are pretty boring and it means that the author did not give much description in here.
49. Harry Potter has love, the main theme is love. It also has mystery, where the horcruxes are, which side Snape is on, etc. And Harry Potter has lots of fantasy in it. Also I can imagine myself inside the story because the author described the places more well.... descriptive.
50. This isn't saying that Twilight is better then Harry Potter. It's just saying that we shouldn't compare these two.

I'll do the rest later.

Before the twilight fans began a riot at a hot topics.
Twilight is a best-selling, supernatural teen romance series containing the events of a human (Bella), a vampire (Edward), and a werewolf (Jacob)situations in Forks, WA as the books progress. It has attracted a significantly high fan-base and it's movies grossed to over $700 million box-office. Much of the saga's acclaims range from young fans of the books and movies, all the way to the current President of the United States. Such acclaim is also met with the negativity of the public that are against the over-all plots and messages from the saga itself. The conflicts of interests towards the...

Ok, some of this is opinion, some is fact, so don't critisize it because it is my opinion. And don't be rude in the comments section!

1. If the Cullens are "vampire's" that don't burn in the sun, don't drink blood, young, rich, immortal and beautiful, then why are they in Forks, Washington!? In HIGH SCHOOL!?

2. You say this story is about a Vampire, Werewolf and Human. I won't disagree with the human part, but the Cullens are NOT vampires. They don't drink blood, they don't die from a stake to the heart, they don't burn in the sun, and they don't have fangs. Jacob isn't a werewolf. He doesn't...

Intelligence, I was not born with. Talent, minimal. Endurance, plenty. I wish I could be a Hermione Granger. The world is a cruel place for a woman and a brainy one at that. The close I come to is a Ron Weasley.

Hermione, from her introduction, comes off as a snooty know-it-all. An outcast who never gets along with anybody because she knows too much. But as we move on in the series she becomes the strongest pillar of the trio. She thrives on competition and always comes on top. Being a muggle-born and to be accepted into the wizard-world she faces discrimination and isolation from many but...

I found these fascinating, thought you guys might too, :)

Bellatrix - “Bella” is a construct of the word “bellum” meaning “war” and “trix” refers to “a woman in power.” Bellatrix is therefore known as the “Female Warrior” and is also the pale yellow star indicating the left shoulder of the constellation Orion, the Great Hunter.

Blaise - Blaise was the teacher of Merlin. From the Roman name Blasius, which means “lisping.” From the Latin “blaesus.” A famous bearer was Blaise Pascal, a French mathematician and philosopher.

OK, there are millions of people who write thest kind of articles, but please try and control your patience, and read this.

The Love
Harry Potter has love. Not lust.
Hermione didn't stare and Ron and say "OMG he is soooo hot, I am in love" no, Hermione and Ron started of as hating each other. Halfway through their first year they became friends. In HBP and DH they both started getting feelings for each other. They love each other for who they are. That is real love. Twilight on the other hand has no real love. Bella and Edward fall in love with each other, they kiss, Bella gets pregnant. ALL THIS...

One thing I've noticed in general is that anti's tend to make a pretty big deal out of the Twilight vampires sparkling. I've seen people saying things like real vampires don't sparkle, vampires not sparkling was a fact, and that it was gay of them to sparkle. Okay, of ALL the things to criticize in Twilight, people are going after the SPARKLING? Seriously?

First off, at least where I'm from, calling something “gay” as an insult is considered really rude and distasteful. Besides being rude and homophobic, it's also generalizing and stereotyping. Just because something sparkles doesn't make...

Whoa. Its the final battle already? It seems like this all started a week ago....which it did....so...yeah.
NOTE: I am a Twilight fan, so do not suggest that I think all Twilight fans are crazy. I also think HP is better than Twilight, though. Just a little.
NOTE:I like HP and T, I am not trying to make fun of either, I'm just having fun with some of the ideas.
NOTE: okay, I'm just putting this note in to build suspense.
NOTE: This is it. The big one. The end. The last one. The one and only. The awesome one. The one that is the end. The climatic one. The one that, if you do not read, will send...

I was typing up an response to iluvtwilight_ for my personal enjoyment when someone reported the question and had it removed. I felt much frustration as what was once a very entertaining activity was reduced to pointlessness. This makes an already depressed person like me more depressed. Siriusly, I want to committ suicide now...

No, I don't... not yet. But I considered leaving for a brief moment.
But to address this problematic issue. I present: link. O.o What's this? Wikipedia has a specific project devoted to adding humour to the site? OMG, on such a serious site?

Yes, even on such a serious...

So Harry Potter is MUCH better than some stupid book about wimpy girls and sparkly fairies. First off:
ALL the Twilight people are UGLY! I mean seriously, Taylor Lautners muscles are gross and he has ugly man-boobs. He looks like a creep on steroids. and Robert Pattison looks like a bum, and Kristen looks like a drug aggict as Bella. I mean, EW! Who wants to watch a movie with eyesores like them? Harry Potter is WAY better, I mean we have HOT guys, and the girls aren't half bad either! I mean. we have Lucius, Draco, Sirius, and Snape to say the LEAST! Plus like a zillion other eye-candy dudes!...

Discussion regarding Twilight vampires and reply to Drisina at link

First Part:
The thing is Drisina, one cannot by fiat change a legend to whatever one very well pleases with. Vampires have been in mythology from the 17th century, e.g. Countess Elizabeth Bathory who alledgedly drank her female servants blood to stay young.

So what Stephenie Meyer does is that she takes the vampire-myth, and discards the gorier details and imperfections, replaces them with what she thinks they should be and et voila, we have Edward Cullen.

Now I shall dissect why most people think its a bad thing to do. Recall...

The Volturi and The Death Eaters have a lot in common. This article points out the features of The Death Eaters that the Volturi seem to have as well.
Before I begin, you have to remember that The Death Eaters were here first – so the Volturi copied them, not the other way around. Now, the leaders of the Volturi are –unless I’m very much mistaken – Aro, Marcus, and Caius. The leader of The Death Eaters is Lord Voldemort.
The Dark Lord can perform Legilemency, which is rather like mind reading, whatever Snape says. Aro can read minds too. The Dark Lord needs eye contact, Aro needs a...

Severus Snape. The man we all hated. Then loved. Then went back to hating. And then we positively loathed him. But, after, we found out hi story. And, when we knew the truth, what did we feel? Love.
Yes, we ended up loving Severus Snape. Because, once we knew HIS side of the story, it was clear.
Snape had a difficult childhood, which probably led to his disturbed adulthood. But we knew nothing about this until we read The Deathly Hallows. And after we found out, found out exactly what he had suffered through, our emotions changed. Snape is one of the deepest characters in Harry Potter, and...

It’s been a while since i am here in this Harry Potter vs Twilight community. Now, being a die hard Harry Potter fan my vote always go for the same, but I feel by criticizing any of the two of them is insulting the world of story writing. I give it a thought why this whole Harry Potter vs Twilight thing is started and all that comes to me is a memory of mine. At some point I liked Twilight (though not as much as I am obsessed with Harry Potter). Then one day I had an argument with a friend of mine & naturally I sided with Harry Potter but hearing illogical criticism turned me against...

Ok, time for the other side of the story, in other words, time for another interview with a Twilight “hater”. Her name is Izabella, aka: venvargie! Let’s get started!

Could you introduce yourself please!

Hah, okay well I'm Izabella. But I usually go by Ven on the interwebz. I'm turning 16 in a few months and I don't watch a lot of TV so I don't have a favorite show xD.

What is it that you hate about Twilight?

Well, I hate the sparkling thing the most. Growing up, I watched all kinda of scary vampire movies with my older brother and they were always the kind that died in the light and vanted...

Heellooooo!!!! I'm feeling rather random today so I thought I'd take a leaf out of Emma's rather large, leather bound book and do a stupid Harry Potter quiz. It's not actually a story, just a random collection of letters put together to form a random collection of words which will, in turn, provide a random collection of potentially amusing sentences. So, enjoy my little freaks!!!
Beware: If you have no sense of humour: DO NOT ENTER!!!
PS. I decided to post this on this spot as well as the HP one because everyone seems so mad at the opposition so I thought they might need a laugh :)

The "jejemon" mania is spreading in my country like mad.

I am a Filipino and Im getting really upset because almost half of the 'jejemon' population is in my country. Even my friends greet me through text messages '.,inN DisZ qKinD oFv m4nN3Rr.,' and Im now confused if they're simply Twihards or just some bunch of lunatics. I am also sad because when I search what 'jejemon' means it always come up with explanations that involve my country, am I gonna deny that I am a Filipino? will I curse them all because they're all proud of it? will I beg them to stop the stupidity? I know my options will...

New Moon Review

“…she [Stephanie Meyer] can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good…” ~ Stephen King

And frankly, I agree. Stephanie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, has gotten her share of criticism, but also many undeserved raving fans. I’m going to take a closer look at her second book in this series, New Moon.
New Moon Is quite possibly the just all-around worst book in the series, and I will tell you why.

One, Edward leaves Bella, and she turns into a zombie-like wreck. She abandons all of her friends, instead focusing what little personality she has on hatred for Edward...

I just wanted to cut out this snippet and paste it here because I completely agree here. There is no being that's invincible, no matter how unnecessarily overpowered you make them.

Meyer thinks that humans are limited to two types of weapons: guns and slow-moving bombs. Oh, Meyer. You silly, silly bitch. There is one thing that we humans have been consistently good at since we first picked up a rock and looked speculatively at that turtle hiding smugly inside of its shell:...

I cannot stress strongly enough the contempt I have for the franchise of Twilight. Or at least the book. The films are more funny than anything else, and honestly I don't hate any of the cast an crew working on it. Having read the source material, I can see they had little to work with.
Harry Potter, on the other hand... I like. I don't LOVE it; I'm no Potterhead by any means, however much I might have been in the past. But it will always hold a very special place for me. I grew up with the books and films, reading and seeing them years apart from each other - growing up along with the characters...
