Did the Twilight movies ever help you discover new bands? And which Twilight soundtracks had you known about before they were on a soundtrack?

I had heard of The Killers (!!!), Paramore, Sia, Cee Lo Green, Linkin Park, Bruno Mars, OK Go, Vampire Weekend, Christina Perri, Florence and the Machine, The Black Keys, and I had heard the word "Muse" before Twilight.

The soundtracks got me interested in Iron & Wine, Sleeping At Last, Aqualung & Lucy something, The Dead Weather, Bombay Bicycle Club, Lykke Li, and Anya Marina.

No, I heard of most of those bands before Twilight.

I already knew all the singers before Twilight was even discovered, and I hate the artists on each album.

Quite a few actually. I think I had liked Cee Lo Green, Bruno Mars, and Christina Perri (a thousand years is possibly one of my favorite songs at the moment!). Twilight got me interested in Paramore, the Killers, and a few other Florence and the Machine songs :)

I have heard most of it before I know twilight, so not really.

the soundtrack... to be honest I never pay that much attention to soundtracks in movies, twilight or no.

Iron & Wine was the only band I hadn't heard/heard of before Twilight. It was also the only band I ended up liking because of Twilight.

Black Keys <3 Meyer has an amazing taste in music :)

I found, and loved The Editors and Lykke Li.Anya Marina too..

Not really, because I don't listen to that kind of music that often to begin with. I do listen to Linkin Park, Christina Perri, and Paramore sometimes, but I had already heard of them before the soundtracks.
