I do think you refer to the debate about wheter wizard are superhuman or just human with magic in one of the picks around here?
the wizards can fix a lot of deathly injury/accident with the right potion and spell yes, but they can get hurt just as easily as normal human does.

Wizards aren't as susceptible to physical wounds as humans are. They can survive falls from much greater heights without the help of magic, and they can live through more blood loss and other physical damage
