I'm confused.....

I think they're talking about how the vampires sparkle. I've seen a lot of people, especially on Tumblr, saying that the vampires are a bunch of "fairies" because they sparkle, and they connect fairies with being gay, I guess. I've also seen them say stuff like, "the 'vampires' are poor excuses for the traditional," and somehow they connect that with being weak which they draw a line to being gay.

I agree about gay not being wrong. The people who are using it to describe Twilight are using it as an insult because most of them think being gay is wrong, or they know it will get a reaction. They think that calling something a lot of people like as "gay" will strike a nerve and hurt the fans. It's like calling the fans "Twitards." They want to insult the fans, even if they come off as extremely immature, which they do.
