Yes. It appeals to more age groups, nationalities and either gender, whereas Twilight is, in general, only liked by women aged between 12 and 40. HP has been translated into more languages and, I believe, has sold more copies internationally. Harry Potter is the kind of story that parents will read to their children and their children's children, and so on.

Definitely. Harry Potter appeals to a wider variety of people as said above and will passed down from generation to generation. I know I for one will read Harry Potter to my children. It's one of those book that will always be remembered while the Twilight craze will die out once the Breaking Dawn movie is released. Harry Potter isn't like that.

so... I'll say too that twilight is also GREAT bcoz it has became the HP's Rival. and in that case, HP has conquered the world a decade or something before Twilight.

The 7 movies that have been released so far have made more money than all 22 of the James Bond films combined. On the opening weekend of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it made #1 in the box office, if you add the earnings of all the nine other movies in the top 10 for that weekend and then double it, it still wouldn't make as much money as Harry Potter. So, yes, I think Harry Potter has more fans worldwide.
