HPfans, do you think there are any upsides to Twilight?

Yesh...

- Rosalie, Leah, Seth, Emmett... in fact, strangely enough, I like all the characters in Twilight, except for Bella, Edward, post-NM Jacob, and Renesmee.

- I've made a lot of friends because of our mutual hate of Twilight.

- The subliminal messages in BD. "Don't have sex, or else you'll get pregnant and die!" Which is exactly what happened.

Umm, even though we're now in the 21st Century and it's a bit outdated, I guess it's still a relatively positive message to wait til marriage for sex. *shrugs*

It got people reading and gave hope and inspiration to young authors.

It's brought people together (both antis and fans).

It's got a lot of people reading and, in turn, moving on to other books.

Yes. I love both series, so naturally, I see upsides.

Well i enjoyed the books, i only dislike the movies, the only character they got rite, i think, was alice

It got younger kids more interested in reading again, which is what children of today need more of: intellect.

Young teenager girls have been encouraged to read more.
It has brought me tons of friends from my hatred of Twilight and tons of fans to be friends from other fans.

I would say there are. I really like the secondary characters like Jasper, Rosalie, Leah, Seth and Emmett. I really enjoyed their back stories and their characters. But of course, we get hardly any of them...

It's quite interesting to ponder that the young Grindelwald was also a Volturi.
